Mission Statement

To provide a public safety partnership,


consisting of local, state and federal
agencies, as well as the public sector and
private entities, that will collect, evaluate,
analyze, and disseminate information and
intelligence to the agencies tasked with
homeland security responsibilities, in a
timely, effective, and secure manner.

terrorism related threats and criminal activities
requiring intervention by appropriate authorities

A Brief History of MIAC

MlAc was created on December 7,2005, with five fulltime employees.


ln January of 2008, MlAc was established as Missouri's officially
designated state Fusion Center.
October 1 , 2006 MIAC became a 24-hour a day, 7 day a week, 365 day
a year operation.

Types of Assistance
Information Sharing-Provides law enforcement,
corrections, health, fire services, and EMS services with
information concerning officer safety, drug interdiction,
weather events, and other subjects of interest.
Tactical Assistance (Analysis)-Reports an event, person,
place, or thing. Tactical analysis is reactive, event driven, and
links to a particular information source, such as a police
department requesting assistance in the investigation of a
robbery. An analyst must select, manage, and evaluate
pertinent information to provide a reliable tactical intelligence
product or assistance.
Strateg ic Assistance (Analysis)-strateg ic Analysis i nvolves
trends based on investigations, experience, and historical
information.

Assistance Request - 2009
May 19, 2009, MIAC was presented with 1,012 names of subjects with
outstanding warrants requesting updated addresses and photographs.

May 27,2009, MIAC returns to requesting agency information on 5g3


subjects.

May 29, 2009, MIAC returns to requesting agency information on 59


subjects.

June 2, 2009, MIAC returns to requesting agency information on 2g7


subjects.

June 5, 2009, MIAC returns to requesting agency information on the


remarning 83 subjects.

As of June 10, 2009, 29 subjects were determined to be deceased, 1 1g were


already incarcerated, and approximately 100 arrests have already been
made.
