How to order new SENC licenses in Chart Assistant online

1. Start Chart Assistant for Advanced users.

2. Change format to SENC.

3. Go to Catalogue panel.

4. Click the + tool on the right side of the program window.

5. Select the charts you would like to order by using the left mouse button, clicking on the map. Charts that are marked for ordering will appear as red (those boundaries on the map will be highlighted by red lines).

6. Choose New Licenses button.

7. Click Optimize request button

8. On the right side (in the General Request Information field) you can now see the approximate price for the order.

NOTE: The price for the order is given for 12 months 9. Click Send Request button

10. The dialog box will appear. Here you will find useful information about where the files will be saved and where to send them. Create two folders on the USB stick, one called CA_inbox and the second one called CA_outbox (For full information upon on settings adjustment see How to do your settings in CA document). Make sure your files will be saved on the USB stick in outbox. Click finish.

11. Bring the USB stick to your Internet/communication computer. Send the file you have just made to the Chartservice@transas.com 12. In a short while (as soon as Transas has confirmed the order) you will receive a new license sent to you by email. 13. Save the license on the USB stick in the Inbox folder. Bring the stick to the ECDIS and go to Chart Assistant program. Chart Assistant will automatically detect the .cdf file containing the new license. 14. When this is done, you will have to run the BASE discs to load the new charts. 15. Run the latest Update discs or request updates from Chart Server. 16. Your new charts are now in the system.
