1.1

Diagnosis using the ACP panel

The battery LED on the ACP panel illuminates as the bed is being connected to the power supply to indicate that mains power is present. The battery LED flashes during charging of the battery. If the battery LED does not illuminate, the battery is fully-charged. This only applies to power box PB 30.XX. Picture nr. 1: Battery charging indication PB30.XX

The orange LED indicates that the battery is being charged

Picture nr. 2 :ACP panel used with power box PB 29.XX

The ACP panel used with power box PB 29.XX does not include the battery-charging LED or Trendelenburg function.

POWER BOX PB 30.XX

If the orange LED is illuminated constantly, it means that the battery is either not connected to the power box or it is faulty. In the first case, connect the bettery to the power box. In the second case, it is necessary to replace the battery. Picture nr. 3: Power box PB 30.XX

POWER BOX PB 29.XX

On power box PB 29.XX, the battery socket is blank.

Picture nr. 4: Power box PB 29.XX

Only when a working ACP panel is connected to the power box are we able to use all electric functions and controls. If the ACP panel is not connected to the power box, the power box beeps intermittently.

If it is not possible to position the bed, perform the following test:

YES
Check the main power supply connection Activate the ACP panel by pressing the GO button

NO
Connect the bed to the main power supply Check whether the main power cable is damaged. If it is ok, check the fuses in the power box, which is located under the middle section of the patient surface. The bed does not work after connecting the new ACP panel or it is not possible to position the bed or any of its parts using another beds controls.

If it is not possible to position the bed using the ACP panel or any other controls. (It is necessary to push the GO button). Connect a new/working ACP panel. After connecting a working ACP panel the fault disappears. It is possible to position the bed from all controls. The ACP was faulty.

Disconnect all the controls, P1 P8, from the power box.

The bed still does not function using the ACP panel. It is necessary to change the power box.

If it is possible to position the bed using the ACP panel, there is a faulty control. By reconnecting the individual controls, find which control is faulty and replace.

Motor fault diagnosis

YES
One of the motors does not position from all controls (foot switch, siderail, ACP). Check the function locks on the ACP panel are not activated. One of the motors still does not work. Eliminate the fault by changing the connection between the motors in the power box. The columns are connectors 3 and 4. The leg-rest and backrest motors are 5 and 6 After swapping the connectors, the motor which didnt work before is still not working. Replace the faulty motor and connect the motors to the power box in the original way.

NO
One of the motors does not function from only one control replace faulty control.

After swapping the connectors, the motor which worked before stops working. Replace the power box.

Attention! If the backrest motor is working but the backrest is not rising, the CPR wire may be too tight. It is necessary to loosen it using the setting nut. All service operations (motors, controls, spare parts replacement), can be found on the service video CD, which is part of this manual.
