This days Scripture lessons remind us of our Saviors promise that on the Last Day He will come again as Judge over the living and the dead. The Liturgical color is red. It is the color of fire, fervor, blood, martyrdom, and the victorious truth of Christian teaching based on the blood of Christ.
Our practice as it involves the Lords Supper is based on a deep reverence for God and His Word; it is based on our profound respect for the purpose of the Sacrament; and it is based on a deep desire to in every way honestly, accurately, and clearly confess all of Gods Word to the world. Therefore, those who are not yet fully united to us are cordially invited and encouraged to speak with Pastor or an Elder so that we may work together for the truth (III John 8); for when spiritual unity is achieved on the basis of Gods Word, outward unity can and will be joyfully celebrated. Those who have declared their unity with us, either by their membership here or by their membership in another congregation with which we are unified, are cordially invited to express that unity at the Lords Table.

It will explore the meaning and significance of various names for God in the Old Testament. We look forward to seeing you there! Hospital Visits: If you or a loved one is going to be in the hospital for surgery, tests, etc., please call Pastor Prell and let him know. He will add you to the Prayer Chain (if you wish) so that others can join in prayers for you. This also helps Pastor know who he needs to visit; due to health care regulations concerning privacy, hospitals no longer publish who is in the hospital. Thanks in advance for your help!
Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another. Hebrews 10:25 I rejoiced with those who said to me, Let us go to the house of the LORD. Psalm 122:1

Church Decorating: The time is quickly approaching for us to decorate the House of the Lord in anticipation of the celebration of His birth! There are a couple of Sundays which would work well this year: December 1st is the first Sunday in Advent and is open; December 8th is busier with MVL singing and the dinner following, but would perhaps have the advantage of having people there and a lunch ready to go. In the next couple of weeks please give Pastor some feedback as to what would work best for you so we can pick a Sunday within the next few weeks. Thank You! St. Johns Grade School Singing: On Sunday, November 17th, St. Johns Grade School will be joining us for our worship service. They will sing a number of songs and following the service there will be time for fellowship in the church basement. The fellowship time will be hosted by our Youth Group; youth 6th grade through 12th grade are asked to be ready to help serve that morning! Baptism: This past Sunday, Archer Jared Krueger was brought into the family of Christ through the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. He is the son of Jared and Tara Krueger and grandson of Warren and Jill Gramstad. We pray that the Holy Spirit would work powerfully in Archer not just on the day of his baptism, but also every day of his life in this world. May the blessing of Almighty God rest upon him always! Christmas Giving Tree: The Giving Tree organized by the Ladies Evening Circle will be back again this year! They invite members to take an envelope off the tree and buy a gift for that person whose name is found in the envelope. This years list is primarily made up of congregational shut-ins and the elderly. If there is a person youd like to get a gift for and youre not sure theyre on the list, please talk to either Becky Prell or Elaine Steffen. The date by which were looking to have all the names adopted is Sunday, December 15th. Sunday School Christmas Practice: The Sunday School has begun work on their parts of the Christmas Eve Service. Information will be sent to parent concerning each childs parts, songs, and other details.
