NEW EVANGELIZATION :

The YEAR OF THE FAITH was announced by Pope Benedict XVI last year in his Apostolic Letter . It will begin on October 11, 2012, the 50th Anniversary of the Opening of the Second Vatican Council. It also coincides with the 20th Anniversary of the Publication of the Cathechism of the Catholic Church. The year will end on November 24, 2013, The Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Universal King. Universal Level : Pope will engage in various events Solemn Opening of the YEAR OF THE FAITH Assembly of the Synod of Bishop in Rome World Youth Day 2013 in Brazil Various Ecunemical initiatives : 1. Aimed at restoration of Unity among all Christians 2. Solemn Ecumenical Celebration in which all of the Baptized will affirm their Faith in Christ. Bishop Conferences : 1. Will focus on increasing the Quality of Catechesis supplements in use in the particular Churches 2. In order to ensure their complete conformity with the Cathechism of the Catholic Church. 3. Use the Media to Evangelize , Television and Radio Transmission, Films and Publications focusing on the Fatih, its Principle and Content.

Level of Diocese : 1. To provide an occasion for renewed dialogue between Faith and Reason among both the ACADEMIC and ARTISTIC COMMUNITIES. 2. Also be a Year for penitential celebrations in which Catholics can ask for Gods forgiveness, especially for SINS AGAINST FAITH.

Local Parishes : 1. The Vatican would like to see a Focus on the Liturgy, especially the EUCHARIST, since in it the Mystery of Faith and Source of the New Evnagelization , the Faith of the Church is 1. Proclaimed 2. Celebrated 3. Strenghtened.

Religious Institutes, New Communities and Ecclesial Movements : Are also expected to take their lead in Celebrating the YEAR OF THE FAITH from the Pastoral guidelines.

The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith : Hopes that the Year of the Faith will make the Second Vatican Council and the Cathechism more widely and deeply known throughtout the Church .

Pastoral Recommendtions : 1. Helping people Encounter Christ 2. Grow in their understanding of the Catholic Faith *** The HOLY SPIRIT will inspire among Pastors and Faithful

Giving Man access to the Faith Enabling him to entrust himself to the God who, in Jesus Christ, loved us to the end. 5. Renewal of Faith, priority for the entire Church in out time. 6. Following Jesus in Faith means walking at His side in the Communion of the Church.

Growing in Friendship with Christ means : 1. Recognizing the Importance of Joyful Participation in the Life of your : Parishes Communities Movements 2. As well as the Celebration of Sunday Mass 3. Frequent reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation 4. And the Cultivation of Personal Prayer and meditation on Gods Word.
