Section 1: Legal status SAQAhasamandatetoevaluateforeignqualificationsin termsofsection13(1)(m)oftheNationalQualifications FrameworkAct67of2008. Thecertificateofevaluationrepresentstheprofessional judgmentofSAQAregardingthematchingofforeign qualificationstolevelsoftheSouthAfricanNational QualificationsFramework.Thisdoesnotincludean opiniononthecompetencyofindividuals;whichmust beassessedinspecificworkandlearningcontexts. Section 4: Processing time and delays Thetimerequiredtoprocessapplicationsrangesfrom10to30workingdays(SeePage3:SectionF1).Processinginashorterperiodoftimemaybe consideredonaspecialcontractbasisandatasubstantiallyincreasedfee.ApplicantsmustapproachSAQAdirectlyforthisservice. SAQAcommitstomakingresultsavailableonthefirstworkingdayaftertheprocessingperiodappliedandpaidfor.Applicantsareinformedofdelays. Verificationofauthenticity

SAQAreservestherighttorequestoriginaldocumentsand/orhavetheauthenticityofdocumentsverifiedbythe relevantauthoritiesinthecountriesoforigin. Iffalsifieddocumentsaresubmitted,noevaluationwillbeissued,thedesigneesfortheevaluationwillbenotified andtheinformationwillbesharedwiththerelevantauthoritiesandthirdparties.
