Fast-tracked plant startup. Leading semiconductor maker hired WD SEMI to manage capital equipment procurement for fabrication plant startup in Mexico. Already 85% complete and three months ahead of schedule, program is projected to come in $12M+ under its $35M budget. Expedited go-to-market time is expected to save client $30M. Export solution enables $35M in equipment sales. WD SEMI was hired by bank needing to liquidating a Pacific Rim manufacturing equipment portfolio in a bankruptcy. Devised and executed a program to streamline export compliance issues, clearing the way for export sale from Singapore and Japan. To date, solution has saved client $1.75M. Rescued a European manufacturer. Leading chip maker on verge of collapse hired WD SEMI to help turn around its finances. Negotiating structured financing deals, secured guarantees for $1B in equipment financing. Bought client breathing room to pay off leases within two-year window required by its bank. Generated $1M in fees for WD SEMI. Global supply chain partnerships increase profits $15M. Managing a large inventory in warehouses of high-value capital equipment around the world was costly and inefficient for Babcock & Brown. Built network of highly trusted local partners to operate warehouses on third-party basis. Significantly reduced costs, improved agility and boosted profits. Generated $70M in structuring fees. B&B needed to improve leasing valuation methods. Developed a modeling platform using macroeconomic/historical date to improve reliability of pricing/residual projections. Recruited to turnaround an equipment portfolio project that was projecting long-term losses. Installed strict valuation/pricing controls.
