Course Description This course examines the complexities and multiple issues involved in human resources management in health care organizations. Students will examine the strategic role of human resource management in response to changes in the health care industry. In addition, issues such as recruitment, retention, performance management, organizational development, and employee relations are examined. Federal, state, and professional regulatory requirements specific to health care are emphasized. Preparation Training and Development Paper Learning Team Instructions Continue working on the Job Description Matrix due in Week Three. Review the Week Two objectives and discuss insights and questions you may have. Resource: Legal, Safety, and Regulatory Requirements Paper grading criteria on the student website Prepare a 700- to 1,050-word paper examining the effect of legal, safety, and regulatory requirements on the human resource process as they relate to the following statement: Common sense and compassion in the workplace has been replaced by litigation. Explain why you agree or disagree with the above statement. rd Remember to avoid using first person I. APA adherence is 3 person. Focus on employee-related regulations established by the U.S., such as, Department of Labor, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, and the Department of Homeland Security. Begin working on the Human Resources Management Presentation due in Week Five. Review the Week Three objectives and discuss insights and questions you may have. Resources: Recruitment Matrix and Job Description Matrix grading criteria on the student website Create a matrix identifying internal and external recruitment strategies and methods as part of workforce planning needs. Follow the Recruitment Matrix template or paragraph format. Sample paper will demonstrate both methods (you are only required to do one method: Matrix or Paragraph) Include the following in your assignment: Five recruitment strategies or methods Internal or external strategy identification A detailed 200-word description of the strategy and why the strategy is appropriate for health care. Reminder 5 strategies each must be 200 word count.

Create a graphic image identifying the different components of the selection process. Examples of a graphic image are flowcharts and slides. Include the following: Differentiate between job analysis, job description, and job specification. Provide a detailed 200-word description of job analysis, job description, and job specification.
