Hydraulic tilting of the grab
X, Y and rotation 100
The hydraulic tilting with inclination mea-
suring and monitoring of the operator's
cabin guarantees a verticality of the dia-
phragm wall of 1:800. To certify the verti-
cality of the trench the measured data can
be stored and printed out. (Patents in
many countries).

The hydraulic diaphragm wall grab HSWG is
equipped with a permanent measuring and control
system which makes it possible primarily to recog-
nize any deviation of the vertical excavating direc-
tion immediately, and to indicate it to the control
panel of the operator and secondarily to correct any
deviation of the vertical position by means of a
modification of the direction of the grab. Thus, high
accuracy is obtained also at deeper depths (more
than 50 m) and the construction of diaphragm walls
by means of grab excavation is thus perfected. The
hydraulic diaphragm wall grab operates free of
noise and vibration.
Operation is easy compared to the mechanical dia-
phragm wall grab. By means of the special suspen-
sion via two ropes, each of which is deflected once,
the hydraulic diaphragm wall grab can be operated
by means of a smaller carrier unit whereby a more
economical application with improved mobility is
achieved.
The HSWG XY 200 is equipped with a deviation
control system for the x-axis and the y-axis, as well
as with a rotation control including data read-out
and monitoring system.

Hydraulic Tube Extracting Equipment
Our tube extracting machines are designed for ex-
tracting tubes of 340 to 1500 mm dia. By means of
an attachment, even wide flange beams and sheet
piling sections can be extracted.
The essential advantage of the machine is the com-
pact construction. The complete drive including the
controlled hydraulic pump is incorporated in the
base of the machine which means that no obstruc-
tion by hydraulic hoses will occur on site. In order
to obtain a weight as low as possible a high-
strength steel is used and the complete welded
construction is stress-relieved prior to machining.
The special construction of the four-link gripping
collar enables work to be carried out as close as
250 mm to a wall. With easily assembled collet in-
serts the collar diameter can be changed without
any problem.
The installed heating enables the use of the machi-
ne even in low temperatures.
A hydraulic, fully automatic uncoupling clamp has
been developed for the tube extracting machines
which enables easy coupling and uncoupling of the
form-work tubes.
Due to the simple, clear layout of the control table,
operating personnel require only a brief introduc-
tion.
Leffer tube extracting machines with uncoupling
device and Leffer form-works tubes have proved
themselves in the toughest utilization by the leading
european contractors in special deep foundation.

General Remarks
Stop End Pipes
The tube connections (bayonet fitting) are manu-
factured from high-strength steel and are machined
after rolling. Because of higher quality material and
adequately dimensioned wall thicknesses with addi-
tional stiffenings, the stop end pipes have proven to
be very effective for the construction of diaphragm
walls up to 60 m depth.
The tube connections can easiliy be connected,
they have a radial fit and are interchangeable.
Stop end pipes 1000 m prior to shipment
By means of the uncoupling device which we have
developed as an accessory for our tube extracting
machines, the tube connections can be opened
and closed fully automatically which means that the
time for the installation and removal of the stop end
pipes can be reduced considerably.
