3. FIRST-AID MEASURES Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Get medical help if there is any breathing difficulty. Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing (including shoes) and wash before re-use. If irritation persists, seek medical attention. Eye contact: Flush immediately with large amounts of water, especially under lids for at least 15 minutes. If irritation or other effects persist, obtain medical treatment. Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately 5. FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES Fire extinguishing media: CO 2 , Dry Powder extinguishing media. Do not use water.
Not to be used - water jet. Fire fighting procedures: Firefighters should use full protective clothing, eye protection, and selfcontained breathing apparatus. Fire fighters should wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Closed containers exposed to fire should be cooled with water. Do not allow run-off from fire-fighting to enter drains or water-courses.

. Hazardous decomposition or combustion products: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, toxic gases. 6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES Personal precautions: Isolate or removal of the sources of ignition and try to ventilate the fire area. Wear protective equipments. Keep unprotected persons away. Environmental precautions: Do not allow product to reach sewage system or any other water course. Inform respective authorities incase of seepage into watercourses or sewage system. Methods of cleaning: Contain and collect the spillage with non combustible materials like Sand, earth, diatomaceous earth and place in disposal container. Use absorbent material e.g. Sand, acid binder, saw dust. Ensure adequate ventilation. 7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Handling: Vapours are heavier than air and may spread along floors. They may form explosive mixtures with air. Prevent the creation of flammable or explosive concentrations of vapour in air and avoid vapour concentrations higher than the occupational exposure limits. In addition, the product should only be used in areas from which all naked lights and other sources of ignition have been excluded. Keep the container tightly closed. Exclude sources of heat, sparks and open flame. Non-sparking tools should be used. Avoid skin and eye contact. Avoid the inhalation of vapour and mist. Smoking, eating and drinking should be prohibited in storage and use areas. Always keep in containers made of the same material as the supply container, or in containers that are compatible with the product. The accumulation of contaminated rags may result in spontaneous combustion. Good housekeeping standards and regular safe removal of waste materials will minimise the risks of spontaneous combustion and other fire hazards. Storage: Observe the label precautions. Store in a cool, dry, well ventilated place away from sources of heat, ignition and direct sunlight. No smoking. Prevent unauthorised access. Containers which are opened should be properly resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage. Areas of storage, preparation and application should be ventilated to prevent the creation of flammable or explosive concentrations of vapors in air and avoid vapor concentrations higher than the occupational exposure limits.

8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION

Respiratory protection: Avoid the inhalation of vapour, particulates and spray mist. Where reasonably practicable, this should be achieved by the use of local exhaust ventilation and good general ventilation. If this is not sufficient to maintain concentrations of particulates and solvent vapour below the occupational exposure limit, respiratory protection must be worn. When spray applying, suitable respiratory equipment with positive air supply should be used in cases of insufficient ventilation or where operational procedures demand it. Ensure compliance with local regulations. In case of brief exposure or low pollution, use respiratory filter device. In case of intensive or longer exposure use respiratory protective device that is independent of circulating air. Seek medical advice if person becomes unconscious

Ventilation: Provide dilution ventilation or local exhaust to prevent build-up of vapors. Personal protective equipment: Eye wash, safety shower, safety glasses or goggles. Impervious gloves, impervious clothing. Replace elastomeric protective equipment whenever it becomes swollen, gummy, torn, or shows evidence of barrier loss. Apply a solvent-resistant skin barrier cream to areas of skin that may come into contact with material. If working out-of-doors, apply sunscreen lotion with a high sun block protection factor to skin exposed to sunlight after applying barrier cream. 9. PHYSICAL AND CHEMICAL PROPERTIES Properties Results Physical state Liquid Flash point > 35 C Specific gravity 1.1 1.3 Vapor density Not Available Lower Explosion Limits % 0.8 Upper Explosion Limits % 0.5 Odour Characteristic of Mineral Turpentine Miscibility in Water Immiscible

10. STABILITY AND REACTIVITY

CONDITIONS TO AVOID: Extremes of temperature. To prevent the creation of flammable concentrations of vapour in air, good natural ventilation, and if necessary, local exhaust ventilation, should be provided. The accumulation of dry overspray, contaminated rags, etc may result in spontaneous combustion. Good housekeeping standards plus the regular and safe removal of waste materials will minimise the risk. MATERIALS TO AVOID: Keep away from oxidising agents, strongly alkaline and strongly acidic materials in order to avoid exothermic reactions. HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION PRODUCTS: When exposed to high temperatures may produce hazardous decomposition products such as carbon monoxide and dioxide, smoke and oxides of nitrogen.
