I have a request; would you help support me, to help support others, to reach the unchurched for Jesus Christ Hope for the hopeless, peace for the anxious, answers to lifes biggest questions, like: why am I here and where do I go when I die? We Christians know that the Good News resides in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and research shows that the best way to introduce the un-churched to a growing and sustained relationship with Jesus Christ is through Church Planting. Mission Anabaino (MA), a central ministry of Christ Presbyterian Church in New Haven, CT, is engaged in church planting and empowerment in some of the most Gospel-needy locations in the world: Greater New Haven (local), and selected major centers of influence in the U.S. and around the world (global). For several years I have had the privilege of being part of the leadership team of Mission Anabaino. With four successful local church plants and two global church plants underway (and several more under consideration) we are seeing first-hand the extraordinarily positive effect establishing contextualized churches in culturally diverse demographics has on those who heretofore have not known Christ. The major components of my contribution to MAs church planting effort center on communications and applied ministry in the greater New Haven area. This means: (i) regularly convening ministry staff in local and global pastoral collaboratives to collect, exchange, and publish the wisdom and experience of these expanding groups in venues like our journal, our website, an annual conference, and our monthly collaborative meetings; (ii) applied missions, which means helping church members and regular attenders to become the hands and feet of Christ by organizing Vacation Bible School camps, repairing homes, missions trips, presenting seminars, holding community events, and, most importantly, helping with the youth movement as it defines itself in various church planting contexts. It is a big job; and it has big rewards! To continue doing this work, so vital to Mission Anabaino, I need to raise $10,000. I am looking for 100 people to donate $100 to support my ministry with MAs church planting and empowerment efforts. Thats all, just $100.
