International Tours 2014

Newsletter #4 11th December 2013
HA Invoices You should have received an email this week from HA Management Accountant, Jason Alabakis, requiring you to register online and pay a deposit for your International Tour, by going to this link . International Tour Registration The deposit amount for the Tour is $420, to be paid online by 15 January 2014. For playing participants, please ensure you select the correct entry type, as failure to do so may incur additional charges. Subsequent instalments will be invoiced and sent directly to your valid e-mail address. If you are going on more than one tour, you only need to pay the one deposit at this stage. All non-playing officials are also required to complete the registration process. (note: the personal details are required to identify you in the system and will not be used for any other purpose) This is a new process HA is trialling, which will allow me to keep track of payments being received and hopefully will eliminate the occasional transactions which have in the past gone astray. Tickets to the World Cup HAWMC will not be including a ticket package for the World Cup in The Hague and it is up to individuals or groups to organize if they wish to view the Finals which are scheduled for the 14th and 15th June, after the Masters WC has concluded.

Uniforms 2014 Thank you to all members of our Australian contingents for meeting the deadline for uniform orders, which have now been submitted to Kukri. I am pleased to be able to share with you the new playing strip design, which was formally approved by the HA Womens Masters Committee (HAWMC) at its meeting in Melbourne last weekend. Also for your information, the Masters Council sought approval from Hockey Australia to have the Australian Coat of Arms placed on our playing strip for tournaments in 2014. However, we have been advised that the current guidelines from the Australian Government Protocols Office do not permit the Coat of Arms on any Masters, Indoor or Country team uniforms.

The HAWMC has determined that the uniform design will be reviewed on a two-year cycle (ie year of World Cup followed by year of Trans Tasman, then review), and that from 2014, the allocation of shirt numbers will be determined on the following principles: The numbers 1 - 16 will be allocated alphabetically (A-Z) in each age group. No exceptions will apply to goalkeepers or team leaders. Goalkeepers will be required to purchase a new smock if a new number is issued. Enquiries are underway to have a GK top that is common to all in design and colour. HA Womens Masters 2014 International Tours Newsletter #4 2|4

For players moving into a new age group, who have a shirt and number from a tournament in the first year of a two year cycle - if there is a clash of numbers, the player moving into the new age group will be allocated a new number. Players who withdraw from a team for any reason will not be issued with uniform items and a full refund will be given. If uniform is already distributed, it is to be returned. Shadow players coming into a team will be issued with the withdrawn players number and shirt. If the shirt size is not compatible, then a numbered shirt in the appropriate size from the "spares stock" will be allocated to the player coming into the team. Best wishes to you all for the festive season - have an enjoyable and relaxing summer break!
