DESCRIPCION Las vlvulas de Control de Casquete Esferomatic mantienen el diseo de las vlvulas esfricas mariposa que presentan un paso del fluido sin obstrucciones a traves de la vlvula. El cuerpo es de diseo unitario, que otorga una mayor rigidez estructural y minimiza el riesgo de prdidas por juntas del cuerpo. Estas caractersticas se combinan con un diseo de obturador guiado especial, del tipo casquete esfrico, con abertura en forma de cua inversa en "V" para darle una optima caracteristica de caudal, amplia rangeabilidad y alta capacidad de caudal, logrando de esta manera un control preciso con pequeos ngulos de apertura.

The segmented V-port shearing action allows a smooth and obstruction free performance "eliminating pluggings" (clogging reduced). The body is available with and without flanged connections, wafer type, Series 150 and 300, Carbon and Stainless Steel, in sizes " up to 12". Reinforced PTFE and metal-metal Seats options available.

DESCRIPTION Esferomatic control segmented V-port ball valves maintain the ball or butterfly valve design which offers no obstruction of the fluids and free passage . The unitary body design gives structural stiffness and minimizes the risk of leakage through the joints itself. These characteristics are combined with a special designed guided "plug", segmented ball type with inverse "V" wedge opening, to optimize a wide and high flow volume capacity. A stable and precise control is achieved by small opening angles.
OPERACIN Las vlvulas de casquete esfrico se pueden combinar con actuadores neumaticos a pistn actuadores a diafragma y actuadores elctricos. Pueden ser controladas con posicionadores neumaticos electroneumaticos, seales 3-15 psi, 4-20mA y digital. Se presentan con dos opciones de montaje de actuador de acuerdo a la salida del extremo del vstago, la compatible con ISO 5211/1 standard de vstago con extremo cuadrado y la conexin estriada para montaje de actuadores a diafragma con conversor de movimiento DSY-DSZ.

OPERATION The segmented V-port ball valves can be combined with pneumatic piston or diaphragm and electric actuators. They can be controlled with pneumatic or electropneumatic positioners, 3-15 psi, 4-20 mA and digital signals. There are two actuators mounting options according to the shaft extreme outlet: the standard connection compatible with ISO 5211/1 of square extremes shaft and the splined connection for the installation of diaphragm actuators with DSY-DSZ movement conversors.
DISEO Y CONSTRUCCION Su diseo permite el control de la mayora de los fluidos utilizados en las industrias. Aplicaciones con fibras y particulas en suspensin, fluidos sucios y limpios, lquidos viscosos, corrosivos, gases y vapores, teniendo su mayor campo de aplicacin en la industria de papel. La accin de cizallamiento del casquete, permite un funcionamiento suave y sin obstrucciones, eliminando los taponamientos. La construccin del cuerpo est disponible con conexiones bridadas y sin bridas, tipo wafer, Serie 150 y 300, Acero al Carbono e Inoxidable, en medidas desde " a 12". Las opciones de asiento disponible incluyen, PTFE reforzado y MetalMetal.

DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION Its design allows to control most of the fluids used in industries. Suitable for fibers, particles in suspension, dirty , clean, viscous and corrosive fluids, gas and steam, having its major application field in the paper industry.

Puede suministrarse con accesorios sobre pedido, posicionadores, lmites de carrera, filtro regulador, accionamiento manual, valvula solenoide, etc.

On request, accessories can be supplied: positioners, limits-switch, regulating filter, manual operating, solenoid valve, etc.

The splined shaft and ball provid eliminating mechanical vibratios splined connection makes an exa segmented ball position.

Un doble buje gua, provee una gran rea de soporte radial al vstago, reduciendo su fatiga. Este buje tipo DU con respaldo de acero y capa de PTFE impregnado, tiene un bajo coeficiente de friccin que minimiza el torque de operacin reduciendo el dimensionamiento del actuador requerido. Presenta alta capacidad de carga y resistencia al desgaste.

The double guide bearing provides the shaft a great radial support reducing fatigue. This type DU sleeve with steel back and impregnated PTFE coat has a low friction coefficient which minimizes torque service, reducing the sizing of the required actuator. It offers a great load capacity and erosion resistance.

ASIENTOS STANDARD Asientos de PTFE multireforzados aptos para temperaturas elevadas. Para aplicaciones en servicios generales, donde la Clase de Cierre VI, hermtico, es requerida, segn ANSI/ FCI 70-2. Ver Grafico. El asiento presenta la caracterstica de doble bisel en ambas caras de contacto con el casquete, para un rapido mantenimiento en caso de desgaste. ASIENTOS CONTACTO METAL-METAL Aptos para servicios erosivos, incluyendo aplicaciones con fluidos con fibras y aplicaciones qumicas con slidos en suspensin. Asiento metlico con la superficie de contacto endurecida mediante un recubrimiento de Stellite 12 y casquete de acero inoxidable AISI 316 con un proceso de endurecido superficial de nitruro de cromo. Clase de Cierre IV ASIENTOS CONTACTO METAL-METAL Aptos para servicios con alta temperatura. Asiento metlico con la superficie de contacto endurecida mediante un recubrimiento de Stellite 12 y casquete de acero inoxidable AISI 316 con un proceso de endurecido superficial de nitruro de cromo y juntas de grafito autoajustables. STANDARD SEATS Multi-reinforced teflon seats, suitable for high temperature. For general services where Type VI hermetic sealing is required complying with ANSI/FCI 70-2. See graph. The seat presents a double bevel on both sides which are in contact with the segmented ball, which allows a quick replacement when erosion occurs. METAL-METAL CONTACT SEATS Suitable for erosive services, including those for fluids containing fiber and chemical fluids with solid particles in suspension. Metal seat with hardened Stellite 12 contact surface and AISI 316 stainless steel segmented ball with chrome nitride hardened surface. Leackage Class IV. METAL-METAL CONTACT SEATS Suitable for high temperature services. Metal seat with hardened Stellite 12 contact surface and AISI 316 stainless steel segmented ball with chrome nitride hardened surface and self adjustable graphite joints. Leackage Class IV. Torque: Para dimensionar un actuador, multiplicar el valor del torque por un factor de seguridad de 1.3. Se deber tener en cuenta tambin, el tipo de fluido a controlar, fluidos fibrosos, partculas en suspensin, sucios y gases, adicionar un 30% como factor de seguridad. Para actuadores suministrados por Esferomatic, referirse a Tablas pag. 8 y 9, actuadores dimensionados a la mxima presin diferencial y condiciones extremas del tipo de fluido.

Torque: To size an actuator, the torque value must be multiplied by a security factor of 1.3. It must also be taken into account the fluid type to control. For fibrous fluids, particles in suspension, dirty fluids and gas, 30% must be added as a security factor. For actuators provided by Esferomatic, refer to table pag. 8 and 9. Actuators are calibrated for maximum pressure differentials and extreme conditions for different fluid types.
