This is part 2 of refutation to Hadith-rejecters.

Did the prophet and his companions prohibit Hadiths being written down or did the companions discourage (prohibit) people from following Hadiths of Muhammed (pbuh)? e shall find out as !ou read further. The "uotes below are all from #hia ($afida) website. Hadith-rejecters use these references as if the! are genuine. The! don%t &now the difference between #ahih and Da%eef (wea&) Hadith. ' will respond to their claims (od willing. )*T+, ' will highlight the Hadiths the! ha-e used in $+D.

$+#7*)#+, :onathan ;rown e4plains wh! the 7rophet didn%t allow his teachings to be written down,

3There are se-eral Hadiths1 in which the 7rophet warns his followers not to record his words out of fear that the! might be confused with (od%s words as re-ealed in the 5uran. 0s the 5uran was still being set down in writing during the prophet%s lifetime b! numerous scribes and in man! pri-ate noteboo&s1 collections of the prophet%s teachings might easil! be conflate with the Hol! ;oo& . The companion 0nas ;. Mali& is e-en "uoted as sa!ing1 3 e did not consider &nowledge of those who did not write it down to be =real>

'mam )awawi (d.@A@B/2AA) sa!s the following on wh! the 7rophet (pbuh) didn%t allow written record of his teachings at his earl! mission,

3The reports that condemn the writing of Hadiths came from earlier !ears of the prophet%s career1 when he was concerned about his words being mista&en for the 5uran. 7ermission to write down his teachings would come later1 when the 5uran had become more established in the minds of Muslims1 and the 7rophet%s role as the leader of a functioning state re"uired written records.6 (#ource, 0bu Ca&aria Mohiuddin 9ah!a 'bn #haraf al-)awawi1 #harh1 #ahih Muslim1 -olume /1 page DEA)

#hia scholars lo-e l!ing1 the! are the same people who curse and slander the companions and e-en the wife of Muhammed (pbuh). ?et%s now respond to their claims and see if 0bu ;a&r onl! followed the 5uran and not the #unnah of the prophet.

/. 0fter the prophet Muhammed (pbuh) died 0bu ;a&r send out armies to in spite of the opposition from certain Muslims1 he silenced his opponents and said the following words to them,

3' ha-e before me a decision that has alread! been made b! the Messenger of 0llah (pbuh). 0nd were ' to thin& that wild predator! animals would snatch me awa!1 ' would still send out samah%s arm! in accordance with the command of the prophet (pbuh).6 (#ource, 0d-Dawah 'lal-'slam page @D)

Mrom the -er! earl! da!s of .aliphate1 0bu ;a&r (ra) taught Muslims that success for this nation is ine4tricabl! lin&ed to following the commands of the prophet (pbuh). hene-er Muslims obe! the prophet (pbuh) 0llah blesses them with -ictor!1 success1 prosperit! and stabilit! on earth< but when the! disobe! the prophet (pbuh)1 0llah inflicts them with widespread defeat and

humiliation.(#ource, 5issah ;a%ath 0bu ;a&r :aish samah page DK)

2. The people ga-e allegiance to 0bu ;a&r when he became the leader of the Muslims. 'n a remar&able speech he made to the people this after the prophet (pbuh) death he said the following words to the people,

3* people ' ha-e indeed been appointed o-er !ou1 though ' am not the best among !ou. 'f ' do well1 then help me< and if ' act wrongl!1 then correct me. Truthfulness is s!non!mous with fulfilling the trust1 and l!ing is tantamount to treacher!. The wea& among !ou is deemed stronger b! me1 until ' return to them that which is rightfull! 0bu ;a&r ma&es it clear that people should )*T follow him blindl!1 he sa!s he should onl! be obe!ed if he obe!s 0llah 0)D H'# Messenger (rules regulations i.e the 5uran and the #unnah of the prophet). 'f he didn%t follow these1 then he doesn%t need obedience from them. This incident too& place after the 7rophet%s death.

D. Here is another Hadith where 0bu ;a&r didn%t abandon the wa! of the 7rophet,

)arrated al-Mughirah ibn #hu%bah, 5abisah ibn Dhuwa!b said, 0 grandmother came to 0bu ;a&r as&ing him for her share of inheritance. He said, There is nothing prescribed for !ou in 0llah%s ;oo&1 nor do ' &now an!thing for !ou in the #unnah of the 7rophet of 0llah (pbuh) (o home till ' "uestion the people. He then "uestioned the people1 and al-Mughirah ibn #hu%bah said, ' had been present with the 0postle of 0llah (pbuh) when he ga-e grandmother a si4th. 0bu ;a&r said, 's there an!one with !ou? Muhammad ibn Maslamah stood and said the same as al-Mughirah ibn #hu%bah had said. #o 0bu ;a&r made it appl! to her. 0nother grandmother came to mar ibn al-2hattab as&ing him for her share of inheritance. He said, )othing has been prescribed for !ou in 0llah%s ;oo&. The decision made before !ou was made for a grandmother other than !ou. ' am not going to add in the shares of inheritance< but it is that si4th. 'f there are two of !ou1 it is shared between !ou1 but whiche-er of

!ou is the onl! one left gets it all. (;oo& H/L1 Hadith H2LLL)

e see from the abo-e narration that 0bu ;a&r followed the teachings (#unnah) of the prophet. This incident too& place after demise of the 7rophet1 this alone is sufficient that 0bu ;a&r ne-er abandoned the teachings of Muhammed (pbuh).

0l-#a!!id $ashid is reffering b! this to the 2habar reported b! al-Ha&im from 0%ishah1 and cited b! al-Dhahabi in Tadh&irat al-huffaN1 -ol.'1 p.E1 in which she said, M! father had collected the traditions of the Messenger of 0llah1 which the! numbered fi-e hundred1 and he remained upset all the night. hen he entered upon the morning1 he came to me and said, 8* daughter1 bring the ahadith that are with !ou.% ' brought them to him. He burnt them and said, 3' am afraid lest ' should die lea-ing these with !ou1 and among them there might be ahadith which ' too& from a man ' had faith in and trusted1 but the truth pro-ed to be not as he related1 the fact showing me to be responsible for themG6 hen al-#a!!id $ashid refers to such a &habar in this regard1 or inferring an! hadith1 we should be assured that it be undoubtedl! sahih1 since he is one of magnates of hadith.
