The American Principles Project is a not-for-profit, 501c3 organization that recognizes the dignity of the person as the basis of the founding principles of the United States. We are dedicated to the declaration of the Founding Fathers that we are all "created equal, endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, and among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." We are dedicated to promoting America's founding principles in the public square through rigorous debate, scholarship, education and advocacy.

A B O U T SENATOR RAND PAU L

Dr. Rand Paul is the junior United States Senator for Kentucky. Elected in 2010, he has proven to be an outspoken champion for constitutional liberties and fiscal responsibility and a warrior against government overreach. Among his first legislative proposals: cutting $500 billion in federal spending and a plan to balance the federal budget in just five years. He has since introduced similar bills with growing support. In the Senate, Rand serves on the Foreign Relations, Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, Homeland Security and Government Affairs, and Small Business Committees. He has been a vocal advocate for term limits, a balanced-budget amendment, and an audit of the Federal Reserve.
