Depart Brisbane and arrive into Saigon Airport and transfer to your hotel. Tonight, enjoy your Vietnamese welcome dinner where you can meet your fellow travelling companions. Three Night Stay: Renaissance Riverside Hotel, Saigon or similar. (D)

itinerary

Aprons and hats on everyone, as your first Vietnamese cooking class starts this morning. First up is a 'cyclo' ride to the local market to select the ingredients for the day before returning and startng your class. Enjoy your efforts by sampling your cooking at lunch. After lunch enjoy an afternoon city tour. Tonights dinning experience begins with a Vespa scooter ride where we make various stops to enjoy authentic dishes before arriving at a local coffee house (B, L, D) Today, journey to Cai Be on the Mekong River to witness the floating produce markets and life on the river. Travel by sampan to the fruit orchards where you will be having lunch. Tonight you will dine at a French colonial home to sample French cuisine which still retains an influence on dining in Vietnam. Moving on from Saigon, you will fly to Da Nang and travel onto the resort town of Hoi An. Once, one of the busiest trading ports in Asia, this city has retained the influence from its visiting traders. This afternoon take a walking tour of the town. Tonight's dinner is at Mango Mango restaurant where the emphasis is on east-meets-west dishes. Two Night Stay: Life Heritage Resort, Hoi Ann or similar. (B, L, D) After breakfast, depart for a village called Tra Que where you can meet local vegetable gardeners and even assist with some planting. Up next, your cooking class awaits! The theme today is Vietnamese 'Street food' and the dishes created will be your lunch. (B, L,)

This morning, fly to the Vietnamese capital of Hanoi in time for lunch at the Cha Ca La Vong restaurant, an institution and famous for grilled fish or 'cha ca'. An afternoon city tour by foot and 'cyclo' allows you to really experience the charm of this city. The tour ends at Hoan Kiem Lake where you will stop to see the famous and unique Water Puppet Show,. Two Night Stay: Hotel de l Opera, Hanoi or similar. (B, L, D) Your day starts off with a visit to Ho Chi Minh's complex. Lunch is at the KOTO restaurant, a concept developed by an Australian Vietnamese man, Mr Jimmy Pham. After lunch, time is spent in some local villages, including Van Phuc, where silk is made. You are in for a treat tonight as dinner is at the internationally renowned Bobby Chinn Restaurant, known for its Asian Fusion cuisine. (B, L, D)

This morning enjoy a lesisurley breakfast ahead of check out. You will then have the day to explore Hanoi at your own pace before our transfer to the Airport for our home-ward flight. (B,)

This morning we will arrive back in Brisbane and our amazing Vietnam Culinary experience will come to an end.
