FACILITIES

Canteen
The college canteen is located in a separate block at its first floor. The College Canteen is a popular meeting and free enjoying place for the students. The college canteen provides a variety of snacks and beverages.

Healthcare
The healthcare facilities to the College students are provided through World University Service (WUS) Health Centre; a Centre of the University of Delhi. The Health Centre provides OPD facilities and medicines to the patients. It also provides necessary emergency medical services to the patients. The WUS Health Centre is located in the vicinity of the college. The college students can also become its member.

Parking
There is a huge all weather parking area for the vehicles of students as well staff members. deputed to facilitate secured parking. A guard is

Banking
The college is having one branch of the State Bank of India (SBI). The students can open their account as well as take advantage of other banking facilities from the SBI branch.

Book & Stationery Store


There is a small book and stationery store within the campus. The students can purchase text and other reference books, as well as general stationery from the store.

Photocopier Point
There is a photocopier point in the campus. The students can avail the facility of photocopy, as well as compilation of study material from the photocopier point.

INFRASTRUCTURE
Class Rooms & Tutorials
SRCC is the only college in the University of Delhi who has upgraded its class rooms to facilitate teaching through modern gadgets by shifting from traditional style of teaching. All the classrooms and tutorial rooms in the college are fully air-conditioned. The class-rooms have been upgraded with ceiling-mounted LCD projectors, roll-down screens, green boards and podium for faculty. With the main building of the college being recognised by the Government of Delhi as a Heritage Building, the class-rooms ambience has retained the heritage look with the vintage teak furniture. In addition, the college has separate tutorial rooms in a separate Tutorial block.

Library
The college library is spacious with seating capacity for about 300 readers. It is well-stocked and presently has a collection of over 65 thousand volumes on different subjects. Latest publications in the fields of business studies, economics, humanities and social sciences are continuously added to the collection to equip students with a wide range of academic material. The College Library is fully automated and provides user services through computer. SRCC library is the first library in the University of Delhi having Wi Fi facility. The Library opens for eight hours from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. However, during third term it opens from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. for students convenience. The Library subscribes about 80 journals of national and international repute. The prominent Journals being subscribed by the Library are: Accountancy, Accounting Review, American Economic Review; Centre for Monitoring India Economy, Chartered Accountant, Economic and Political Weekly, Economist, Harvard Business Review, Journal of Accountancy, Journal of Business, Journal of Economic Literature, Journal of Economic Perspectives, Journal of Finance, Organizational Dynamics, Vikalpa, Reserve Bank of India Bulletin, Seminar, Vision, Yojana, etc. All prominent national dailies are also subscribed in the library. Current magazines like Business India, Business Today, Business World, Competition Master, Competition Success Review, Capital Market, Dalal Street, Frontline, India Today, Mainstream, Outlook, PC Quest, Reader Digest, Span, Time, etc. are also subscribed in the library.

Computer Centres
The College has two well-equipped Computer Centers. Both the centers are provided with 40 computers, each with updated software and hardware. Internet facilities are provided in each computer. Printing and scanning facilities are also available with each computer through network. Each center is equipped with uninterrupted power backup. The teaching of IT and computer related papers are imparted through LCD in the computer centers. In addition, the computer centers are also available for the students for accessing internet, practice and preparing their projects. Internet with more than 2 mbps data transfer rate is available. Wi Fi facility for laptop users is also available.

SPORTS
The College has extensive playing grounds, a swimming pool, tennis court, gymnasium, indoor badminton court, basketball court, lawn tennis court, etc. The College has been excelling in sports for over two decades. Every year the College holds Sports Carnival, Inter-class matches and Sports Day. For proper training and grooming of players the College provides coaching facilities to the players for different games. Games like Cricket, Football, Hockey, Basket Ball, Hand Ball, Badminton, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Squash Racket, Swimming, Shooting, Athletics etc. are patronized by the college. At present the college sports complex is being revamped. The old indoor hall is being replaced with new indoor multi-sports hall with facilities like - Physiotherapy Room, Medical Room, Sauna Bath, Meeting Room,

Athlete Lounge etc.

SWIMMING POOL
SRCC is the only college in the North Campus having swimming pool facility. The swimming pool opens during summer season only. The swimming pool is properly maintained and coaching facilities are also provided to newcomers.

Hostel
The College has limited accommodation facilities for boys and girl. The college has two separate hostels for boys and girls on the campus itself. There is a big mess and common room in both the hostels. The messes are run on co-operative basis. The college has outsourced on-campus laundry services for the resident students. The resident members also have medical services from the University Health (Medical) Center, located in the vicinity of the college. The on-campus residence of a number of students gives the college fraternity an image of an extended family.

Seminar Room
A state-of-the-art Platinum Jubilee Seminar Room is an addition to the existing infrastructure, constructed on the occasion of the Colleges Platinum Jubilee in 20002001. It is fully air-conditioned with LCD projection facilities.

Auditorium
The College has a big auditorium with over 750 persons seating capacity. The auditorium is equipped with lighting and sound systems. All important functions are organized in the college auditorium.

Auditorium : The College has an auditorium that is always abuzz with activities. The auditorium plays host to inter college as well as intra college competitions, events, guest lectures, seminars, farewell and fresher celebrations. Library : The college library is housed on the second floor, above the classrooms. It strives to serve the needs of the faculty and the students. Besides a special section of books dedicated to journalism students, there is also a reading room with all the latest must-reads. The library is fully automated. Students are maintained. As per May 2007 the library has a collection of over 50,000 Books. National dailies and magazines are also available for reading. Computer Lab : The computer Lab houses about 70 Computers with internet facility round the clock. The lab operates during the college timings and helps students to design brochures, newspapers, magazines, posters etc. especially during festivals. The lab is always available for such use. we have two separate Computer labs in the college which are already equipped with ICT. In addition to this a separate computer Lab has been set up for the faculty members. Further to this an IT enabled centre has also been established for the use of faculty and students for interactive lectures Conference Hall : The college has an conditioned conference hall which consists of a long conference table with seating arrangement for above 60 students. This hall often plays host to guest lectures by eminent media persons. Mock Press Conferences by the students are also held here, frequent documentary and film screening is also carried out. Canteen : The College canteen is open for students and staff during the college timings. Students spend their free time in between lectures in the canteen. Seating arrangement is also provided outside the canteen. Healthy and delicious food items are provided. Girls Common Room : A common room for girls is provided for the benefit of the female students of the college. This room is connected to the stage in the auditorium and functions as a backstage for girls during functions. N.C.C Room : A special room is dedicated for the benefit of N.C.C cadets, from where they can avail of sports and other equipment. Records of cadets etc. are maintained and kept in the N.C.C Room.

1. All applicants seeking admission to the College should read the prospectus of the College. The prospectus contains relevant information regarding admission to various courses and conditions of eligibility.

2. Admissions are made on a competitive basis is purely on merit.

3. There is no minimum age bar for admission to under graduate courses, and its colleges except in professional courses where regulatory body prescribes minimum age requirement (such as MCI, AICTE, etc.).

4. In case the applicant is selected for admission the original certificates along with attested copies will have to be submitted to the College at the time of admission: ( i ) A character certificate from the Head of the College or School last attended. ( ii ) A certificate of date of birth issued by the Board of Education. ( iii ) Provisional certificate of the last public examination passed. ( iv ) A certificate of marks obtained in each subject at the last public examination. ( v ) Three recent passport size photographs. ( vi ) In case of Foreign students, a copy of Passport and Visa issued by authorized authority. Candidates who fail to submit all these documents with in the time prescribed will not be considered for admission.

5. Candidates, claiming the benefit of being the children of officers and men of the Armed Forces killed or disabled in war, are required to get their names registered with the University Office.

6. Admission of foreign students is handled by the Foreign Students Advisor, Foreign Students Registrar C/o Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi. No Foreign student is admitted directly by the College unless he/she produces a letter from the Foreign Students Advisor University of Delhi, regarding his/her eligibility and clearance of his/her holding students visa. Every Foreign student other than Tibetan refugee is required to pay 100 US Dollar per year as foreign students fee. The fee will be charged in rupee @ prevailing on the day of admission.

7. No individual intimation regarding admission will be sent. All announcements regarding admissions to various courses will be put up on the college Notice Board and website.

8. Once the Admission Committee has taken decision on a candidate?s application for admission, to the College will not entertain any personal representation, correspondence or telephonic inquiries on the subject.

9. Applicants admitted to the College will have to deposit the prescribed fees with in the specified period. Failure to do so will automatically lead to cancellation of admission.

10. The College does not admit or re-admit the following categories of students: ( a. ) Those who have failed in a University Examination. ( b. ) Those whose results were with held on account of unfair means.

Admission Procedure
Intermediate Admission to Intermediate Part I starts after the declaration of the result of Secondary School (Spring) Examination by all the Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education. A candidate seeking admission is required to attach the following testimonials to his/her admission form which is appended at the end. Three attested copies of Matriculation Certificate and in case of O' Level candidates, Equivalence Certificate issued by the Interboard Committee of Chairmen, Ministry of Education, Islamabad. Attach Photocopy of form BAY issued by NADRA. Four latest ID card size photographs with sky-blue background. Original Migration Certificate from a student passing his/her Matriculation or Intermediate Examination from a Board/University outside the territorial jurisdiction of the concerned Board/ University. Graduation Admission to degree classes starts after the declaration of the results of Intermediate and D.Com. Annual Examinations. A candidate seeking admission is required to attach the following testimonials to his/her admission form which is appended at the end. Three attested copies of Matriculation Certificate and in case of O' Level candidates, Equivalence Certificate issued by the Interboard Committee of Chairmen, Ministry of Education, Islamabad. Three attested copies of Intermediate Certificate and in case of A' Level candidates, Equivalence Certificate issued by the Interboard Committee of Chairmen, Ministry of Education, Islamabad. Four latest ID card size photographs with sky-blue background. One attested copy of National Identity Card of Parent/Guardian or of the candidate himself. Original Migration Certificate from a student passing his/her Matriculation or Intermediate Examination from a Board/University outside the territorial jurisdiction of the concerned Board/ University. Post Graduation Admission to Post Graduate classes starts after the declaration of the results of Graduation Annual Examinations.

A candidate seeking admission is required to attach the following testimonials to his/her admission form which is appended at the end. Three attested copies of Matriculation Certificate and in case of O' Level candidates, Equivalence Certificate issued by the Interboard Committee of Chairmen, Ministry of Education, Islamabad. Three attested copies of Intermediate Certificate and in case of A' Level candidates, Equivalence Certificate issued by the Interboard Committee of Chairmen, Ministry of Education, Islamabad. Four latest ID card size photographs with sky-blue background. One attested copy of National Identity Card of Parent/Guardian or of the candidate himself.
