Sonae Sierra owns 48 shopping centres and is present in 11 countries: Portugal, Spain, Italy, Germany, Greece, Romania, Croatia, Morocco, Algeria, Colombia, and Brazil. In total Sonae Sierra is responsible for the management of more than 73 shopping centers with an Open Market Value of more than 5.8 billion euro comprising a total gross lettable area (GLA) of about 2.2 million sq. m with about 8,500 tenants. In 2012, the Company welcomed more than 425 million visits in the shopping centres it manages. Currently, the Company has 6 projects under development, including 4 for third parties, and 5 new projects in pipeline. Incorporated in Portugal in 1989, Sonae Sierra is owned by Sonae, SGPS (Portugal) with 50% and Grosvenor (United Kingdom) with 50%. Sonae Sierra is structured in four businesses: Investment, Development and Management of Shopping Centres, and Brazil.
