1.1 Functional Description
0Provide a high1level description of the usiness re!uirement that will e addressed.2 'onsignment stoc& is merchandise that is stored at the customer location. The customer is not o liged to pa" for the stoc& ecause consignment stoc& remains the propert" of compan" until the" are withdrawn from the customer special stoc&. The consignment process is divided into following . actions. 1. 'onsignment fill1up3 'onsignment fill1up is stoc& transfer from compan"4s warehouse to customer location owing to shortage of stoc& at the customer location. The stoc& needs to e seen and controlled " SAP due to that the stoc& remains the propert" of compan" even it e#ists ph"sicall" at the customer location. The stoc& also needs to e distinguished from other stoc& located at compan" warehouses in SAP. 2. 'onsignment issue3 'onsignment issue is stoc& withdrawal from consignment stoc& for customer4s use. This action o liges the customer to pa" for the consumed stoc&. That means that compan" can create invoices once the withdrawal is agreed " oth parties. +. 'onsignment pic&up3 'onsignment pic&up is stoc& transfer ac& to compan"4s warehouse from customer location. .. 'onsignment returns3 'onsignment return is a return from consumption to consignment stoc&. The returned stoc& is controlled as consignment stoc& once again. And credit memo is involved to pa" the amount ac& to the customer. 2- Detailed Functional )e.uirements

2.1 Functional %peci,ication
0Provide a high1level description of the functional re!uirements and steps2 The usiness delivers stoc& to a customer on consignment. This process is called the consignment fill1up. The consignment fill1up process is used to replenish the customer4s consignment stoc&. 'onsignment stoc& is monitored in the s"stem " individual customer and material. This t"pe of stoc& is referred as special stoc&. 'lient 'ompan" maintains ownership of consignment inventories. 'onsignment processing offers the participating partners several advantages. 'ustomers store the consignment goods at their own warehouses. The customer can access the goods in the consignment warehouse at an" time. The" are onl" illed for the goods when the" are removed from the special stoc&.

Creating a consignment )ill;up

The consignment fill1up process is used to replenish the customer4s consignment stoc&. (oods issue of the appropriate stoc& is posted from the unrestricted1use stoc& to consignment stoc& :special stoc&;. The goods remain the propert" of '6DPAEF. Bhen "ou ship consignment stoc& to the customer$ "ou need to create a consignment fill1up order :order t"pe 789; as the first step. After saving a document$ "ou can print out an order confirmation and send it to the customer if necessar". The ne#t step is deliver" creation. As a result of out ound processing is carried out$ the following actions are made. The relevant !uantit" is transferred under the same plant from regular inventor" to special stoc& for customer. Hence$ the total valuated stoc& for the plant remains the same. The transaction is relevant for pricing as client wants to pass on the e#cise duties.

The ne#t step is proforma invoice creation and then the last step is to create the >#cise 5nvoice.

Creating a consignment issue

'onsignment issue represents the customer consumption of consignment goods. This scenario starts from chec&ing !uantit" consumed from consignment stoc&. 5n order to perform this step$ personnel of the sales department chec&s consignment stoc& information at a customer and stoc& movements involved. Then he or she prints out the information and sends it to the customer. 6nce customer receives the report " email$ fa#$ or etc$ he or she chec&s ph"sical stoc& and fill in the information on the sheet. Then he or she returns it to the personnel of sales department. 5n some cases$ the personnel of the sales department go to the customer place and conducts ph"sical chec& on current stoc& with the customer. The personnel of the sales department chec& the stoc& and fills in the stoc& information on the screen or upload an e#cel sheet and saves the information. Then the add1on program calculates the actual !uantit" consumed " the customer and creates sales order. Page 10 of 28 2012 Accenture. All Rights Reserved.

206604137.doc Document SAP Sales Order Manangement Scenario 1 - Consignment Process

Consignment Pic<;up
The consignment pic&1up process ta&es place for various reasons such as in the case '6DPAEF stops trading with a customer. This scenario starts when a customer re!uests '6DPAEF sales department the return of consignment stoc& to '6DPAEF4s ph"sical location. AuthoriGed personnel of sales department chec&s the achieved condition for the transaction first and informs to personnel of the sales department whether the authroiGed personnel approves it. Then the personnel of the sales department creates consignment pic&up order. The operator creates deliver" order for the consignment pic&up order and prints out pic&ing list and deliver" note. Pic&ing list is used to chec& !uantit" of actual stoc& pic&ed from customer location and deliver" note is sent to the customer as proof of this transaction. This scenario doesn4t involve illing process ecause the transfer of inventor" ownership doesn4t occur.

Consignment Return
The consignment return ta&es place when a customer wants to return product under customer possession to '6DPAEF as consignment stoc& and to receive a credit for the return. This scenario starts when a customer re!uests returning a product to the '6DPAEF sales department. 5f '6DPAEF accepts$ then an operator of sales department creates consignment return order$ the deliver" order$ and conducts post goods receipt in se!uence ased on the agreed return condition such as !uantit". The operator needs to chec& on SAP the increase of consignment stoc&. %or approval process$ authoriGed person needs to verif" and approve the return outside the s"stem efore '6DPAEF accepts it. Bhen customer sends a proof which indicates the stoc& is received properl" as consignment once again$ the personnel of sales department chec&s that there is no difference etween the proof and SAP post good receipt !uantit" and forward vouchers to personnel of the illing department. The last step of this scenario is posting a credit memo for the return. 'redit memo is manuall" created in the s"stem " personnel of the illing department and the credit note is printed out automaticall". The illing department personnel conducts a final chec& on the credit note and sends it to the customer.
