Your task is to evaluate and report on a current system status. Scenario: The IT organisation that you work for has a support contract in place with Unique Books and Stationary Supplies. The contract includes the upgrading of the computer hardware and software as required by the client. Your supervisor has asked you to produce a training & technical manual for a feature of an application that will be implemented in the organisation in a few months in addition to a technical guide to prepare a new system for software installation. As this will be the first training manual the organisation has produced, your supervisor would like you to determine the documentation standards so all future training manuals are of the same quality. A Glossary of terms to explain any technical terms used in the documentation A complete Index Headers and Footers, displaying the document name, page numbers, date of documentation or version, and any other relevant information Labelled screen dumps relevant to the text of the documentation must be included. The screen dumps should supplement and compliment the information included in the Training Manual and should be presented in the correct sequence to allow logical progression. Captions should be used. Self-assessment guides for the user such as activities/exercises (at least 2 and/or self check questions) should also be included within the training manual. You may also need to include some troubleshooting tips where appropriate to assist the users with predicted problems. Colour can be used throughout the document where appropriate if desired (optional).
