BCAF provides help in form of legal, financial and medical assistance, repatriation, as well as counselling, both for those with marital difficulties and for the bereaved. Should you, or any other British citizen you know, be in urgent need of help please do not hesitate to contact them. Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) Helpline: +971 800-111 Tel: +971 4- 6060 300 Fax: +971 4- 2871 221 Website: www.dfwac.ae The Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) is the first licensed non-profit shelter in the UAE for women and children victims of domestic violence, child abuse, and trafficking. It was established in 2007 to offer victims immediate protection and support services in accordance with international human rights obligations. The foundation provides a helpline, emergency shelter, and support services to women and children victims. DFWAC aims to protect physically, sexually, and emotionally abused and the escalation of violence, and promote social awareness through education and outreach. The Salvation Army (Middle East Region): Tel: +971 56 102 2523 The Salvation Army is in early days of development here in the UAE. A Christian Church with a strong desire to help those in need regardless of race or religion, the organisation is exploring ways in which it can work out this calling here. There are four Salvation Army officers in the region, two in Kuwait and two based in Sharjah/Dubai with responsibility for the UAE. Although the operation is currently very small The Salvation Army may be able to help with practical help. Referrals are preferred through the Embassy who might be able to better channel the requests but in the UAE the officers (Majors Mark and Tracy Bearcroft).

It was established in 2007 to offer victims immediate protection and support services in accordance with international human rights obligations. The foundation provides a helpline, emergency shelter, and support services to women and children victims. DFWAC aims to protect physically, sexually, and emotionally abused and the escalation of violence, and promote social awareness through education and outreach. A Christian Church with a strong desire to help those in need regardless of race or religion, the organisation is exploring ways in which it can work out this calling here.
