3. SEO Tips
Below Theme Penguin shares some key information about the best way to obtain organic tra$c. Organic tra$c growth isn't the quickest method for indexing your websites in search engines, but it is a more e"ective and a"ordable solution. Take advantage of Google Webmaster Tools, which is a free program that will give your access to multiple resources that will help to index your website on Google. You will be able to submit your website URL to Google and provide it with key information about your website, such as a sitemap. You can also view data regarding search tra$c and search engine crawling. Dont just rely on Google, you can submit your website to Bing and Yahoo. Whilst Google is responsible for more than 80% of searches conducted on the web, Bing and Yahoo account for nearly 10% of the total search engine market share. Take advantage of Weeblys e"ortless SEO integration. Under the Settings tab, you will see an area labelled Search Engine Optimization. Create an e"ective site description with at least one keyword pertaining to your website. Meta keywords can also be inputted - but there is no evidence to suggest Google uses this data. Under the pages tab you can also input further data for each page on your website. Once again, use this feature and think carefully about your choice of description and keywords. Remember the Alt attribute! The alternative attribute is picked up by most search engines and so be sure to create an Alt tag for any images you upload. Just one or two words that explain what the picture is illustrating. In-bound links. This is one of the most e"ective ways to increase your tra$c and in turn bump your website up the search rankings. By sharing your website URL on reputable sites, such as social media platforms, your website will picked up by search engines much more quickly. Make sure people know the value of your content!

Choosing the right domain. If you have not done so already, it is worth investing a small fee in order to setup a unique domain name. A strong domain name dramatically increases the likelihood of your website generating greater levels of tra$c. When choosing a domain name consider the following:
! Have I included a keyword within the domain? Identify a keyword pertaining to your website and make sure it is somewhere within your domain. ! Keep it short. Dont be tempted to purchase a long domain name in the hope that it will increase the chances of it being indexed by search engines. By keeping it brief, it will be more memorable to visitors and you are more likely to attract repeat visits. ! Pick an appropriate domain su$x. If you are based in the UK, targeting predominantly UK visitors, it is probably not worth purchasing a .com domain but rather a .co.uk domain. In the USA, .com reigns king!

By following a few basic principles you can use SEO with greater e$ciency and give your website every chance of climbing the search rankings.
