Pirates Football Parent/Guardian Code of Conduct

The purpose of Jr. Pirates Football centers on character enhancement of young adults, developing them athletically for the game of football, and creating a competitive and consistent feeder program for Pattonville High School. We are first and foremost concerned with the safety and wellbeing of the players and all those supporting Jr. Pirates Football, and sincerely hope all those attending such events will have an enjoyable experience. This Code is not meant to be all-inclusive, but representative of expected behavior and support from Parents/Guardians. As a Parent/Guardian We agree to be both a positive role model and strong supporter of our childrens involvement. We agree to balance our support with our ability to emotionally step back and allow our young athlete to participate without our interference. We agree to drop-off/pick-up our child promptly before/after each practice and game. If we cannot, we will arrange for another responsible person to do so, or we will notify the coach of the absence. We understand and agree that if a player is injured and the injury requires a hospital or doctors visit, the player must have a signed release form from their doctor before they can return to play. We understand and agree that it is the Parent/Guardians responsibility to check the Jr. Pirates website (www.jrpiratessports.org) for any schedule changes before all practices and games. We will notify the coach as early as possible if our child cannot attend a team event. As a Fan of the Game We understand that the participants in this program are kids who have various levels of ability and experience, and we will be considerate and positive in our comments to them and others. We understand that wins and losses are not the only gauge of success and the team and program will always come before individual success. We agree to wait 24 hours after a game before we respectfully express our concerns to the coach. We will make no derogatory comments to other parents, other players, coaches, the officials or to the opposing team. We will refrain from using profanity when at a youth football activity. We understand coaches have a challenging job and will not interfere with them before, at half-time, or during the game, and will remain in the grandstands (where available) or outside of the teams area so that we do not interfere with any sideline activities. We are responsible for the behavior of all family members and guests in attendance.

Consequences
We understand that Parents, Guardians and anyone in support of a player, must abide by this Code of Conduct. Violations will be subject to disciplinary action by the Board of Directors, up to and inclusive of revocation of membership in the Jr. Pirates Football organization. Any personal threat or physical violence will be subject to immediate termination of membership. Parent/Guardian suspension or termination may affect a players eligibility to participate in the program.
