Report Description
On-the-job training (OJT) is a form of training taking place in a normal working situation. On-the-job training (OJT) is a type of skill development where I can learn how to do the work through hands-on experience. The application from school to the real world of job. This is in contrast to skill formation that is purely cognitive or perceptual. OJT generally gives me the opportunity to work in the same place and with the same equipment that will be used regularly which I can make it an efficient approach to learning new things. It can also be a useful tool for me to help me develop new job skills. Poor OJT, however, can result in the trainee developing poor work habits. On the job training or OJT is one method by which students is given a chance to apply the theories and computations that they have learned from the school. It also helps the students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills by performing in actual work setting. Colleges and universities require their students t o u n d e r g o su c h t ra i n i ng w i t h i n a s p e c i fi c nu mb e r o f h ou r s a s p a rt o f t h e curriculum. For the students, an OJT or internship program provides opportunities to g o t h r o u g h t h e a c t u a l m e t h od o l o g i e s o f a s p e c i fi c j o b u s i n g t h e re a l t oo l s, equipments and documents. In effect, the workplace becomes a development venue for a student trainee to learn more about his chosen field and practice what he has learn from academy. On-the-job training, sometimes called direct instruction, is one of the earliest forms of training (observational learning is probably the earliest). It is a one-on-one training located at the job site, where I would know how to do a task shows another how to perform it. As I took my OJT that was quit hard but the impact of learning that it gave to me is very meaningful that could be applied in my field. It is a training for me on the job that can be one of the most effective teaching methods because it gives the me practical experience with the tools and equipment that I will be working with each day together with the person who believed with my capability to work.

V . Summary

During the days of my training Id familiarized what are the transactions in the cashiers office. But just like in real life we couldnt avoid to commit mistakes. No one is perfect, I remember one time that I committed a mistake, My boss Mrs. Annely J. Cabrera didnt blame me instead she teach me how to do the task correctly. Sometimes the more we commit mistakes the more we learned the lesson because as what they said well learn a lot from our own mistakes. SO in the near future Ill apply those things that I learned during my OJT time. In this training I can say that Im transformed into a real better person.
