Paragraph: My formal and informal education up to this point in my life have contributed equally to my current knowledge with an emphasis on visual and written content. My classes at UCF have relied very heavily on my ability to interpret, research, and analyze information ranging from a variety of topics such as advertisement, ethics, artwork, culture, religion, and even cats. All of my topics of research have been relevant to my non-academic studies. I usually try to use my research papers as a way to learn more about topics that could benefit my small home business and my future career path. By analyzing the way in which I have approached learning art showcases how my formal and informal education complement and integrate ideas in order to enhance my knowledge in a specific topic. My formal education helped learn about techniques, interpretations, and the history of art in regards to paintings, drawings, and sculptures. However, its been through my informal education that I have developed an eye for creating compositions and developed techniques for live, product, and nature photography. Using informal and formal education to complement my understanding of the world allows me to have a variety of perspectives from different disciplines.
