Around the Section Catholic Community Services/Catholic Housing Services of Western Washington has selected Patty Repikoff as Pastoral Advocate for Mission, a newly created position meant to harness the multitude of Catholic organizations in the Archdiocese of Seattle to advocate collectively with and for those who are poor. Catholic Charities Diocese of Kalamazoo has chosen Margerite Davenport as Director, Community Partnerships to strengthen connections between churches and organizations throughout the entire diocese. The Office of Social Ministry, Diocese of Richmond, will host its Annual Haiti Gathering on March 21, 2014. National Partners Catholic Rural Life and Catholic Relief Services have announced a new initiative, "Farmer-toFarmer." Farmer-to-Farmer connects U.S. farmers for one to six week volunteer experiences in Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda. Volunteers may possess a range of expertise in agriculture, including grains and animal husbandry, agri-business, nutrition and food supply. For more information, contact Beth Hyser, Catholic Rural Life. The USCCB Office of Justice, Peace, and Human Development (JPHD) has begun to accept applications for the 2014 Multimedia Youth Contest. Submissions are due March 31, 2014. JPHD also offers recordings of plenary addresses from the 2014 Catholic Social Ministry Gathering.
