4. Indian music week The third edition of 100 Pipers India Music Week, presented by Rock Street Journal, returns this year, from December 4 to 8. The showcase festival will be held in Mumbai, with artists from India, Norway, and France performing at The Blue Frog and Cafe Zoe in Lower Parel. This year, the conference focuses around the two main themes of Music & New Technology and Education, with a series of panel discussions and presentations. There will also be roundtable discussions to facilitate exchanges among music professionals from India and abroad (around themes such as live bands in India today, sponsorship, touring in India and abroad).

Ziro festival of music The first edition, ZFM 2012, was a runaway success with twenty top Indian bands, including the renowned Lou Majaw from the north east and biggies Sky Rabbit, menwhopause, Peter Cat Recording Co. from Bombay and Delhi respectively. Mahindra blues festival Known as Asia's largest and finest Blues phenomenon, the Mahindra Blues Festival brings together some of the best Blues musicians in the world for 2 days of guitar-rippin', soul-trippin' music at the iconic Mehboob Studio in Mumbai. 22. Lively up your Earth ! The 4th annual festival at Solitude Farm
The festival is a one day event, this year on 22nd February 2014. It starts with a farmers market and eco-stalls selling their wares, such as organic baby clothes, seed banks, solar cycles, tetrapak furniture and more.

The music starts at 1PM and goes on for about 12 hours. This year we have two stages, one for bigger bands which will be playing jazz, rock, pop, fusion etc. and one with more intimate, accoustic acts such as hindustani vocal, Russian folk and unique musicalmeetings between some of the participating muscians.
