JWA to Unleash Filipino Fury in First Mixed Martial Arts Tournament

(Makati, PH- 22 August 2013) JWA Sports & Leisure (JWA) will be launching its first national mixed martial arts (MMA) tournament entitled Filipino Fury as celebration of the companys fourth anniversary. The event will take place from 03 until 17 December 2013 in the Makati Sports Complex. Filipino Fury would serve as recognition of MMAs growing popularity in the country. Through the tournament, JWA aims to further enhance national interest in a sport which requires high levels of holistic fitness, discipline and determination. Filipino Fury is a first of its kind in the Philippines. It is a sporting event that does not only promise extreme action and excitement, but also the amazing display of the Filipinos physical strength and extraordinary dedication amidst all trials and tribulations, says CEO and cofounder James L. Filipino-American Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighters Eddie The Filipino Phenomenon Yagin and Mark The Filipino Wrecking Machine Muoz will be arriving as commentators and guest judges for the tournament. Official participants include some of the biggest names in the local MMA scene such as Honorio The Rock Banario, Eduard Folayang and Kevin Belingon who are current Universal Reality Combat Championship (URCC) Featherweight, Welterweight and Flyweight Champions respectively. They would be competing against at least 16 other participants from all over the country for a grand prize of 850,000 and additional prizes from the events sponsors, Gatorade and Timex in their respective categories.
