I will graduate from the Early Childhood Education Diploma program in April at Centennial College, where my studies provided me with both hands-on and theoretical experience in assessing the developmental needs of children. I gained excellent skills by doing my three field placements with toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergarteners. I implemented a blend of spontaneous and planned activities addressed all curriculum areas which effectively meet the emerging skills, interests, needs and strengths of children. I provided supervision and guidance of daily activities, field trips and special activities. I recorded observations and assessed the developmental level of children and discussed with parents and other staff members. I will finish the course of Inclusion of Children with Special Needs from which I have learned adaptations of environment and playing materials and teaching strategies to meet the needs of children with special needs and their families.
