Today #e start our Trans Himalayan eep !afari to Leh stopping at !archu for a night. 0e cross the )ohtang $ass ,:=AB m2, Ceylong ,::;> m2, 5aralacha $ass ,7B=>m2. 0e have a photography #orkshop D!top !hooting 'utoE on basics of photography in high altitude areas. +pon arrival in !archu #e #ill set up our camp for an overnight stay. !archu is bet#een 5aralacha La to the south and Lachulung La to the north, at an altitude of 7,9=> m.

0e leave early in the morning for Leh, through %akeela and Lachang la $ass 4F,F4A ft. Lunch at $ang. 'fter an early breakfast #e leave for $angong Lake through .hangla pass ,;7BF "trs2. $angong lake, situated at 47,>>> feet ,7,9FA m2 is a long narro# basin of inland drainage, hardly si@ to seven kilometres at its #idest point and over 4:>km long . The picturesque lake is bisected by the international border bet#een India and .hina.

$ost breakfast #e drive to#ards Cargil road and start our sightseeing #ith the Hall of (ame near Leh, Cali "ata Temple, Gurud#ara $atthar !ahib ,built by the Lamas of Leh in 4;4A to commemorate the visit of Guru %anak *ev2. ' drive of another 7 km #ill take us to "agnetic Hill #hich defies the la# of gravity. It1s been noticed that #hen a vehicle is parked on neutral gear on this metallic road
