Permalife Inc. is a manufacturer and distributor of a large variety of highly detailed architectural elements. Our products are made using the very latest in high tech materials, including polyurethanes, polystyrenes, polyesters, filled fiberglass resins, solid and expanded PVC, and silicone rubbers.Our manufacturing methods include high and low pressure mold cavity fills, rotational casting, CNC machining and assembly, heat forming, and vacuum casting. We combine all these modern, state of the art methods with a lot of good old fashioned carpentry and woodworking methods to create some of the most beautiful and interesting architectural products available today. But the best feature of all these products is the fact that you will enjoy years and years of maintenance free pleasure from our properly installed products. Exclusively From Permalife Inc. Base, Capital, and trim ring made to fit 6, 8, 10, 12, 16, and 24 PVC schedule 40 pipe . These sets, when applied to PVC pipe, can be used as a round, non-tapered interior or exterior column. These sets give the user the advantage of lower cost in many cases, as well as being able to attain greater heights than most traditional types of columns. Permalife will supply suggested methods for finishing PVC pipe. However, we will not provide any warranty pertaining to the ability of any finish to adhere properly to the surface of any PVC pipe. PVC pipe is not load bearing and can not be split.

Another Permalife first! Maintenance free square columns with fluting or raised panels. These square columns can be manufactured as monolithic units or they can be split so as to be installed around existing steel or wood support columns. Permalife square columns are not designed to be load bearing, but we can install internal support members on a Customized special order basis. Please specify square columns when ordering. Our standard sizes are 9-1/4 or 11-1/4 square for the Deluxe Tuscan cap & base. (Shipped Loose) Pilaster style cap & base can be used on 5-1/4, 7-1/4:, 9-1/4, and 11-1/4. (Attached unless split) We can also make any custom width that you might need. All square columns are made on a custom basis. They can range in height from very short to over twenty feet. page

Round Tapered Fiberglass Column Made of fiberglass reinforced polymer (shaft, tuscan cap, &
base) Finish None provided. For field finishing, start by roughing up surface with 100 grit sanding sponge. Apply high quality latex or oil primer and finish with the appropriate latex or oil exterior paint. Load bearing Can be ordered SPLIT to wrap existing posts. (Requires reassembly and finishing on the jobsite. There is additional cost for this option. Once columns are split, they are no longer load bearing. Tuscan cap & base are standard (shipped loose and priced separately) with a variety of decorative caps available. Sizes 8" x 8 to 12" x 12 are stock in smooth & fluted. Larger sizes up to 36" x 24 available (special order). Columns can be trimmed for height by cutting from the bottom using a masonry blade in a circular saw. Many of these sizes can also be ordered as Straight Shaft (non tapered) Call Permalife Inc. for information.

Permalife Louver Vents can bring beauty as well as function to your gables. They are made of high density urethane for years of maintenance free enjoyment. They can be supplied as open with screen for functional attic ventilation with a screen to keep bugs and critters out or closed to be used simply for decorative purposes. Permalife Inc. manufactures many sizes of sunbursts, sunburst segment, gable sunburst, and specialties such as trapezoid sunbursts. Customizing these sunbursts is something we do better than anyone else. If you need a special size to fit over a window, or into an unusual gable, just order the next size larger and specify cut down to: We also apply many custom trims to our products. Arch trims, Louver trims, Keystones, Rosettes, or whatever you think will make your product unique. You will see many examples of this throughout our catalog. Any product that we cut down or modify is finished to appear as though it was made as one piece in a mold. Permalife attention to quality and detail is second to no one. While many of our sunbursts are stock items, please allow a little extra time for modifications, which will fluctuate with business and seasonal conditions.

Fish Scale Panels
Permalife Inc. fishscale and diamond scale panels are rather unique offering. They are available in up to 136 base and 54 in height. They are custom made, within these size limits, to your specifications. You can order them slightly oversized, and cut them to fit on the job, or you can have us make them to the exact size you need. These panels offer savings over vinyl panels because you wont waste material on angle cuts, as well as the labor savings of completing a gable installation in one piece. And the fact that they are maintenance free and one piece puts them out of reach for comparison to wood. These panels are designed to be used in gables only up to the size specified. They are not designed to interlock or overlap. For gables larger than this, we recommend a good interlocking vinyl product.

All of these crossheads are made to order to the size you specify. WHV styles can also be made in radius pieces for arch or circle top windows. Now all your window trims can match.
Arch trims/Circle Top window trims
All arch trims can be made with or without keystones. All arch trims are made on a custom basis to your specifications. Standard widths are 3-1/2, 4, 5-1/2, and 6, but you may specify any width. We try to make most arch trims in one piece, however, due to handling and/or shipping constraints, some larger arch trims may have to be made in two pieces. Window Arch trims are now available with woodgrain Using a special process devised by Permalife Inc. we can now apply a rough sawn cedar look to your arch trims to match the rest of your cedar trim. You will be amazed to see how our woodgrain follows around your trim like a curved tree that nature could never make, yet it looks so natural. Eliminate the joint failures that are so common when boards are cut and joined around circle top windows. Youve got to see this!

Square cut
Panels can be cut with rounded router cut corners, or squared assembled corners. If not specified when oredered, they will be rounded. An upcharge will apply for squared corners.
Permalife makes window panels on a custom basis to any size you require. They also can be made with single, double, or multiple panels. Panels are generally square, however, we have made them arch top, oval, or round. These same panels can also be used as custom shutters.

Ever since we ran that FAX to FINISH custom page in our catalog in 1995, We have recieved several faxes daily requesting quotes and giving us information on how to build those special details that make your home a little bit different than everybody elses. We have enjoyed creating literally thousands of unique, one-of-a-kind items for builders and homeowners all around the USA. We have recently come to find that we are very unique ourselves. Flat trim boards can be cut and machined, nailed, screwed, and glued, using standard carpenter tools. Machining the face will open up the grain of the material. Our products can be sawed, drilled, nailed, screwed and glued. You should treat our products just like you were installing fine woodwork, but forget the bad elements, like splintering, rotting, or paint peeling. When installing, always use Permalife Premium Adhesive liberally at all joints and contact points with the substrate. Any nail or sctew holes can be filled with wood putty or spackle. The factory coating applied to all Permalife Inc. products is an interior/exterior UV stable coating. It can be left as is or it can be painted over using a good quality latex or oil Return Policy based paint. Permalife Inc. will consider returns of items on a case by case basis. NO returns will be accepted wthout prior approval by a qualified representative of Permalife Inc. Absolutely No returns after 30 days from original ship date from our plant. All returns must be accompanied by a RGA return goods authorization provided by Permalife Inc. All returns will be subject to a 30% return charge. All returns MUST be standard catalogue items. Limited Warranty
Permalife Inc. warrants its products against defects in workmanship for a period of five years from the date of original purchase. If any defects become apparent within the specified warranty period, and upon written notice by the purchaser, Permalife Inc. will, at our discretion, either repair or replace the defective item, or we may elect to issue a refund to the dealer who sold the product at the price he originally paid for same. The dealer would then forward a refund to end purchaser. All remedies will be F.O.B. at our place of business, and returns must conform to the instructions we will provide at the time of notification of defect. Repair or replacement of the product shall constitute a fulfillment of all liabilities of Permalife Inc. with respect to its products. The foregoing warranty is the only warranty provided by Permalife Inc. and is in lieu of all other warranties, whether written, oral, or implied(including any warranty of merchantibility or fitness for pupose). Custom Order Policy Please be sure of all dimensions, details, and quantities before ordering. Many of our custom products go through many phases and departments on their way to completion. Why Permalife Inc. products are Better than Wood Shown below are two photos of gable decorations. The one on the left is wood. It had been up for two years at the time the photo was taken. It was installed and painted according to the manufacturers instructions. As you can see, it is rotting cracking, and peeling. The one on the right had been up for twelve years at the time this catalog was printed. They are actually both on the same house, although on different gables. The owners installed Permalife Inc. gable decorations when the house was remodeled. The Permalife Inc. gable decoration still has only the original factory finish on it. It has required zero maintenance. We hear from dozens of people who have put wood trim on their homes for various reasons. Some did not know that products like ours existed at the time they installed their trim. Others thought that the wood product would be cheaper, and never considered the long term cost of maintenance and/or replacement. Stillothers bought a house where an uninformed Builder used wood trim, and it was too late to do anything about it. The common thread with all these homeowners is that they are now calling us to help them remedy their problem. If you are now, or soon, considering building or remodeling, you owe it to yourself to at least give our product a good look-see. This applies not only to gable decorations, but to any place that you can avoid using wood trim. Door surrounds, window surrounds, and especially porch columns and railings. There are few household maintenance items that are more labor intensive and time consuming than scraping, repairing, and repainting these items. If you are a Builder, you owe it to your customer to provide them with the most economical to maintain dwelling that you are able to produce. I cringe when I see Builders using wood trim on any structure or application that could be built using maintenance free products. I only hope that intelligent consumers today know that they never have to settle for maintenance laden wood on the exterior of any structure again. There are some who believe that our trims are more expensive than wood trim. It may appear so on the surface, but here are some facts to consider: When you consider the labor involved in maintaining wood trim, if your time has any value, you will see that the slight amount more that our trim might cost,in some cases, is easily overshadowed in a very short amount of time. That is the difference between cost and value. When most carpenters install wood trim, they are trying to get it up quick and move on to the next job. It should look pretty good, but hey, its just outside trim. On the contrary, when we supply you with our products, you cannot help but see the difference in quality of construction. When we make a pattern and/or mold for our products, we realize that hundreds or thousands of parts will be produced. We literally spend days making sure every detail is just right, on the same type of product that most carpenters can only afford to spend an hour or two on. Our louver vents are an excellent example. Look at the detailing and notice that there are ZERO joints that could seperate or let water in and cause them to rot. Compare this to anybodys wood product.
