2014 26th ANNUAL SPRING ROAD

PET AND BIKE PARADE- Saturday May 17, 2014

WHERE: BEGINS AT AHLGRIM'S FUNERAL HOME PARKING LOT AT SPRING AND VALLETTE, PROGRESSING NORTH ON SPRING ROAD TO END AT SILVERADO GRILL. TIME: 11:30 AM CHECK IN TIME AT AHLGRIM'S; PARADE STARTS AT 1:00 PM PROMPTLY. WHAT: PET PARADE- All kinds of animals are invited to participate. BIKE DECORATING CONTEST- 11:30-1:00 decorate your bike! All supplies provided free! FACE TATTOOS- Get your face or hand decorated with a variety of temporary tattoos. PET PORTRAITS- Sit for a free portrait- We'll send you a copy after the parade. MOON JUMP- enjoy the Moon Jump! (11:30 1:00) PET TRICKS- Demonstrate your pets talents! COST: FREE- but donations will be accepted for the Yorkfield Food Pantry (nonperishable goods or cash accepted) WHO: ANYONE OF ANY AGE can enter their pet of any species/breed, or they may ride their decorated bike. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. All animals must be on a leash or under control at all times. Pet owners are responsible for the conduct and control of their pets at all times. Animals must be in good health, free of illness and communicable diseases. All dogs and cats must be currently vaccinated against rabies. Owners are responsible for picking up after their pets. Please come prepared to remove feces left by your pet. Children under 9 must be accompanied by an adult. Registration is recommended, but not required to participate. One entry form per animal. There is no entry fee. Return registration form to locations listed below by May 13, or at parade start site May 18.

PROCEDURE
-Face Tattoos, Bike Decorating, Pet Portraits and MoonJump bounce house will all be 11:30 - 1:00 at Ahlgrim's parking lot. -The parade will progress in 4 sections: bikes, exotics, dogs, and cats. -Ribbons will be awarded in the following categories: Best Stuffed Pet Most Obedient Pet Best Dressed Pet **What Makes Your Pet Special Best Groomed Pet **Oldest Pet * Most Original Pet Trick (register below) * Pets must be registered to demonstrate Pet Trick **Only pets pre-registered by May 13 will be eligible for these awards. -All decisions made by the judging committee are final. -Categories will be judged with an emphasis placed on originality.
