Article(2) Article(2)fromtheOriginalLawisamendedbycancellingthedefinitionof(terroristact)and replacingitbythefollowing: Anydeliberateactorabstentionofanact,orthreatofanact,regardlessofitscauses,uses,or meanscommittedtocarryoutacriminalactcollectivelyorindividuallythatcouldjeopardizethe safetyandsecurityofsocietyorcausedisorderbydisturbingpublicorderorcausingterror amongthepeople,orintimidatingthem,orjeopardizingtheirlivesorcauseharmtothe environment,orfacilities,orpublicorprivateproperty,orfacilitiesofinternationalordiplomatic missions,oroccupyanyofthemorjeopardizenationalresources,orposeeconomicriskorto forcethelegitimateauthorityoraninternationalorregionalorganizationtodoanyworkorabstain fromit,ordisabletheapplicationoftheconstitution,laws,orregulations. Article(3) Thetextofarticle3fromtheoriginallawshallberepealedandreplacedwiththefollowingtext: Article(3) TakingintoconsiderationtheprovisionsoftheeffectivePenalLaworanyotherlaw,thefollowing actsareconsideredthereforeofprohibitedterroristactions: a.Committingadirectoranindirectactofproviding,orcollecting,ormanagingfundsbyany meansforthepurposeofcommittingaterroristactorfinancingterrorists,regardlessofwhether thisactwasperformedinsidethekingdomandinvolveditscitizensorinterests. b.Committingactsthatwouldsubjectthekingdomtohostileacts,orharmitsrelationswitha foreigncountry,orsubjectJordaniansortheirfundstothedangersofretaliation.

c.Joiningorattemptingtojoinanyarmedgroupsorterroristorganizations,ortherecruitmentor attempttorecruitpeopletojointhemortotrainthemforthispurpose,whetherinsideoroutside thekingdom. d.Establishingacharity,orjoiningitoranyothergroup,organization,orcharity,oranyofthe former,toexerciseanactionwiththepurposeofcommittingterroristacts,insidethekingdomor againstitscitizensorinterestsabroad. e.Usinginformationsystems,ortheinternet,oranymeansofpublishingormedia,or establishingawebsitetofacilitateterroristactsorsupportagroup,ororganization,orcharity thatcommitsterroristacts,orpromotetheirideas,orfundit,ortakeanyactionthatwould jeopardizeJordaniansorputtheirpropertyattheriskofhostileorretaliatoryacts. f.Possessing,ormaking,ormanufacturing,orimporting,orexporting,ortransporting,orthe sale,ordeliveryofexplosive,ortoxic,orchemical,orbiological,orradiological,orcorrosive,or incendiarymaterials,orsimilarsubstancesorweapons,orammunitionorthehandlingofany oftheminanymannerwiththeintenttouseandtocommitterroristacts,oranyillegalpurpose. g.Assaultingthekingslife,orhisfreedom,orthequeen,ortheheirtothethrone,oranyofthe guardiansofthethrone. h.Anyactthatisdeliberatelycommittedwiththeintentionofstirringinsurrectionagainstcurrent constitutionalauthority,orthatpreventsitfromperformingitsconstitutionaldutyorchangingthe constitutioninillegitimateways. i.Formingagangwiththeintentionofrobbingpassersby,orassaultingpeople,orseizing money,orcommittinganyotheractsofthievery. Article(4) Article(7)fromtheoriginallawshallberepealedandreplacedwiththefollowingtext: Article(7) Withoutbreachinganyhigherpunishmentstipulatedinthetextofanyotherlaw: a.Apersonshallbepunishedwithlifetimehardlaboriftheterroristactcommittedresultedwith thefollowing: 1.Causingdamage,evenifpartial,toapublic,orprivate,orindustrialinstitution,oraship,ora plane,oranyotherinstitution. 2.Obstructingcommunicationandcomputersystems,orinfiltratingnetworks.

b.Apersonwhocommittedaterroristactshallbepunishedwiththedeathpenaltyinanyof thesecases: 1.Iftheterroristactresultedinthedeathofanotherperson. 2.Iftheterroristactresultedinthe,fullorpartial,destructionofabuildingthathadoneormore persons. 3.Iftheterroristactwascommittedusingexplosivesorvolatilematerial,ortoxicproducts,or epidemiological,orbacteriological,orradiologicalweapons,orbyammunition,oranything similartothismaterial. c.Apersonwhocommitsanactstipulatedinparagraphsa,b,c,d,e,ofarticle3ofthislawshall bepunishedwithtemporaryhardlabor,andaperpetratorofactsstipulatedinparagraphsfande ofthesamearticleshallbepunishedwithtemporaryhardlaborforaperiodthatisnotlessthan tenyearsinprison. d.Apersonwhocommitstheactstipulatedinparagraphgofarticle3ofthislawshallbe punishedwiththedeathpenalty,andpunishmentwillconstitutelifetimehardlaboriftheassault didnotthreatenlife. e.Apersonwhocommitstheactstipulatedinparagraphhofarticle3ofthislawshallbe punishedwithlifetimehardlabor. f.Apersonwhoisapartnersinanyofthecrimesstipulatedinarticle3ofthislawregardlessof his/hertypeofinvolvement,includinginterferinginthecrime,orincitementofthecrime,oraiding thecrime,shallbepunishedwiththesamepunishmentstipulatedfortheoriginalpersonwho committedthecrime,whetherthecrimewascommittedinsideoroutsidetheKingdom,andthe terroristactwillbeconsideredcompletedwhethertheactrelatedtoitwasfullycommitted, partiallycommitted,orattempted. g.Forplottingtocommitanyofthestipulatedcrimesinthelaw,apersonshallbepunishedwith thesamepunishmentimposedoncommittingthecrimeitself. h.ApersonwhoviolatesArticle(5)ofthisLawshallbepunishedbydetentionforaperiodnot lessthanthreemonthsandnotexceedingthreeyears.Thepunishmentshallbedoubledincase theviolatorisacivilservant. i.Apersonwhocommitsanyotherterroristactshallbepunishedwithhardlaborforatleastfive years.
