I agree with what this author has to say about the general ideas of a support group. This author also talks about some of the benefits of going to a support group and what a person can expect when they go to a support group. This source was helpful because instead of giving specific details about why it was beneficial for cancer patients to go, it just gave way people in general should attend support groups. One of the benefits it talks about is how it can relieve anxiety about the cancer. I agree with most of the points that this author brings up in this website. I chose this because the author talks about many of the benefits of being involved in a support group, which I agree with. that take place online. It explains the difference between a support group and group therapy, which a support group can be led by any individual and group therapy is run by a licensed professional. There is a portion that gives the background of a support group, as well as a section that gives evidence as to why and why not support groups work. I agree with most of the points the author brings up. I chose this source because I noticed that it not only informed the reader about the positive effects of a support group but also showed that there can be no affect on an individual.
