Reflection Introduction
When examining information, it can be very annoying when you are trying to examine purely-written genre. The reason why is because you are limited to the amount of information that the author provided and you cannot make your own point of view from the information. This makes the use of graphics very useful with examining information forms because they provide a lot more details of different topics. For example, a picture of a bathroom in a Sochi hotel provides us with a point of view of what bathroom looked like. Also the picture can provides us details that other people might have missed because a lot of the time people see different details when looking at visuals. So from the visual one persons point of view can be very different from other persons point of view. In the way that people live now days is why power is worth being examined and having attention to it. There seem to be many growing trends of people using different types of power, but it is not just limited to people. There are many types of power. Some examples are powerful weather systems, powerful leaders, powerful governments, and bosses. The graphics which were most personally involving to me were Internet Titans Fight SOPA and Bad Bosses. The reason why is because of my interest in technology. There always seem to be something trying to censor or limit technology. There also powerful leaders who love to push other people around or control them in the workplace or government. I feel that these graphics were also most personally involving to me because they both show the power that currency has over people. The Internet Titans Fight SOPA graphic shows the combined powers that huge media producers and United States Government had when they were trying to censor content on the Internet. There are many media producers that are lobbying government officials to pass a bill to protect them. The big problem is that combined powers of the two groups allowed them to have control over many other businesses.
