It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 2014 EUBC European Schoolboys
Boxing Championships in Keszthely this upcoming June 29
th
to July 6
th
2014.
The EUBC continue to believe that the boxing future is based on the young
talents. For this reason I am sure that the participation will be large and quality.
I am certain that the Hungarian Boxing Association together with the Local
Organizing Committee will make sure that your Teams Delegation will have a
successful stay and competition in Keszthely this summer.

4. Competition Venue

Name: Hotel Helikon Sport and Conference Hotel, Tennis Hall
Location: H-8360, 5 Lake Balaton, Keszthely, Hungary

5. Eligibility of Boxer and Weight Category

A. Boxers who were born between January 1, 2000 December 31, 2001
are eligible to participate (ages 13 - 14).

The Championships will be staged in 18 Weight Categories:
38,5kg, 40kg, 41,5kg, 43kg, 44,5kg, 46kg, 48kg, 50kg, 52kg, 54kg, 56kg,
59kg, 62kg, 65kg, 68kg, 72kg, 76kg, 76+kg

6. Number of Rounds

Three (3) rounds of three (1,5) minutes, one (1) minute rest between rounds.

7. Scoring System

AIBA Scoring System - 10 Point Must-System will be used.

8. Referees & Judges

All Referees & Judges (2 and 3 AIBA Stars only) must be mandatory appointed by
their respective National Federation in case the delegations are composed of more
than 3 Boxers.

9. Registration

A. Boxers:
AIBA National Member Federations can send only one (1) boxer in each
weight category. One (1) reserve boxer per weight category may be entered
on the final entry form.
It is also permissible for a Boxer to change his Weight Category and to be
replaced by a reserved Boxer, in weight related cases only, at any time up to
the closing of the General Weight-In and Medical Examination.
All other cases of substitution must be finalized the day before the General
Weigh-In, in accordance with the AIBA Technical & AOB Competition Rules.









B. Number of Team Officials:
Each team can have the following number of officials in its delegation:
o 1 - 4 boxers: 2 coaches (AIBA 1-3 Star) + 1 R&J AIBA 2-3 Star
o 5 - 8 boxers: 3 coaches (AIBA 1-3 Star) + 1 R&J AIBA 2-3 Star
o 9 - 18 boxers: 4 coaches (AIBA 1-3 Star) + 1 R&J AIBA 2-3 Star
All coaches must have the AIBA certification which EUBC will check at
the time of registration as without the AIBA certification, they will not be
allowed to enter this event
In addition, each team may be accompanied by one (1) Team Manager,
one (1) team doctor and one (1) physiotherapist
Only coaches and boxers will be allowed to enter the boxers locker
rooms.

10. Requirements

A. All Boxers must bring to the General Weigh-In the following documents:
Boxers AIBA Competition Record Book with annual medicals duly
completed
Passport
Accreditation Card

B. Each Team Delegation (every participating country) must bring the following:
National flag 1x 1.50m
National anthem (on MP3 or CD)

C. Boxers Uniform:
Each boxer must bring two sets of uniform red and blue
All uniforms must follow the AIBA uniform guidelines in the Rules.

11. Boxing Equipment

The LOC will provide AIBA approved and licensed boxing gloves (TOP TEN),
headguards and hand bandages for all boxers and all bouts. Both boxing gloves and
headguards are compulsory official items which all boxers must wear as they will not
be allow to wear their personal ones.

12. Transportation

A. Airport or Railway Station Reception:
All participants will be welcomed at Liszt Ferenc International Airport,
Budapest, Hungary
B. Ground Transportation:
There will be a welcome desk to guide all teams to the ground
transportation
The LOC will provide local transportation between Hotel, Competition
Venue and Training Venue(s) during the Championships Period








The LOC will also provide local transportation for all departures

13. Accommodation for Team Delegations

A. Room Rates for Team Delegations are as follows:
For single occupancy (1 person per room)
o 80 Euros per person, per day, including 3 meals
For double occupancy (2 persons per room)
o 60 Euros per person, per day, including 3 meals
For triple occupancy (3 people per room
o 60 Euros per person, per day, including 3 meals

B. Payment of Hotel Room Charges:
All delegations must present the full room charges payment at the time of
registration.
On arrival, the team delegations must make the full payment for the
entire Championships period
Delegations will not be allowed to receive accreditations and hotel room
keys if they do not clear the payment of full hotel room charges first.
In case Delegations arrive with a smaller composition than previously
indicated in the Final Entry Form and without notification prior the event,
they will be responsible to pay for the difference in full as it is considered
a 'No Show'.

C. Check-In and Check-Out:
The room rates provided for the competition only apply from June 29
until July 06, 2014
Team Delegations choosing to arrive earlier and/or stay longer than the
Championships Period must pay a room rate of 100 Euros per person,
per day, including 3 meals in double room and 100 Euros per person, per
day, including 3 meals in single room

D. Extra Team Officials:
No Extra Team Official is allowed to stay at the Team Delegation Hotel
LOC assistance can only be given in finding rooms in a different hotel
than the Team Delegation Hotel

Extra Team Officials:
o 90 Euros per person, per day, including 3 meals in double room
o 100 Euros per person, per day, including 3 meals in single room.


Insurance

All participants are requested to get their own travel and medical insurance.
LOC will provide liability insurance only at the Competition Venue for all participants.









Medical Care

The LOC will provide medical care and first-aid during the entire event to all
participants who suffer from a sport injury (contracted during the event). The LOC
kindly asks the participants to have European Health Insurance Card.

Doping Control

Doping control shall be conducted in accordance with the AIBA Anti-Doping Rules
and following the World Anti-Doping Code under the supervision of the AIBA
Medical and Anti-Doping Sub-Commission.

Medals

Gold, Silver and 2 (two) Bronze Medals will be awarded along with diplomas to the
winners in each weight category.

Training Facility

The LOC will provide required training facilities located at:

Sport Hall next to the Hotel Helikon, Keszthely.

19. Registration

A. The preliminary registration form is to be sent by email at info@boxing.hu by
April 10th, 2014
B. The final registration form along with the passport copies of all boxers is to be
sent at info@boxing.hu by May 10th, 2014
C. Final entries will only be accepted if the country has transferred a 25% deposit
of the total accommodation amount payment before 10 May, 2014.

20. Visa

The LOC will grant assistance to all delegations on visa matters. National
Federations seeking assistance with Visas should make it known to the LOC as
soon as possible.
