With the help of your textbook (Communicate in English) design a proposal (300 - 500 words) for

assessment and evaluation in your teaching context.

Assessment for Learning focuses on the opportunities to develop students' ability to evaluate
themselves, to make judgments about their own performance and improve upon it. It makes use
of authentic assessment methods and offers lots of opportunities for students to develop their
skills through formative assessment using summative assessment.
When the students write descriptions and share their works they feel confident and they can
notice mistakes like the spelling. Self-assessment involves students making judgments about their
own work.
Portfolios help us to asses our students they should keep the most important works for them.
Self-assessment can be even more valuable when the evidence to be assessed is intrinsically
personal in nature, such as reflective logs, diaries, action plans, and so on, where it can be argued
that only the student really knows how well the evidence meets the purposes or criteria designed
to specify it.
Body journals is a great opportunity because this let our students write something and interesting
theme and they can express their opinion.
Presentations can be used by the parents know the advances and the students be more effective
presenting of ESP topics to the audience and other aims, including developing the ability of cross-
cultural communication (specific needs in our region).
It can be particularly useful to get students to self-assess their own presentations, using the
criteria that are concurrently being used to peer-assess them. This can cause students to reflect
quite deeply on what they think are the strengths and weaknesses of their approach and
performance.
Create and space like bulletin boards provide a way to introduce new material or display student
work .Bulletin boards can be used to revisit concepts that have been previously covered in class.
Material can be reintroduced before an upcoming test or at the end of a unit. Bulletin boards can
be used to prompt the students' memory of previously covered material. Students will enjoy
seeing a board full of information that they have already learned about. Bulletin boards used to
review older concepts provide encouragement to students as they realize just how much they
have learned.
The observation dairies is a process of reflection since it is purely personal. After each lesson you
write in a notebook about what happened. You may also describe your own reactions and feelings
and those you observed on the part of the students.
