As a Travel Designer you will be responsible for leadership and management to ensure efficient and effective operations of the sales function. You will be working with the sales team and executives of various business units in the organization to achieve the targets. You will be passionate about travel, have proven and excellent sales experience and outstanding knowledge of the travel industry. It will be your responsibility to design experiences to a wider range of guests and ensure their every need is met. Consequently your enthusiasm and first-hand knowledge of this specialist area will be infectious and your ability to provide the best service will be paramount.
Attention to detail and excellent administration and organizational skills are a must. Above all your communications skills should be perfect.
You will be required to travel on sales calls, represent the company in Travel Fairs and Exhibitions, familiarization trips and other meetings.
Skills and Competencies A diploma in marketing or business. Travel background preferable. Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field. Must have strong sales, customer service & public relations skills. Exposure to travel industry is important, especially the luxury travel market. International Exposure will be an advantage. Understand global tourism/ travel industry and familiar with key players & markets. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. Self-motivated, passionate professional who is driven by performance, enthusiastic, and team oriented. High energy level and sense of humor essential. Demonstrate ability to handle multiple projects and details simultaneously. Take initiatives and is excellent in accuracy and attention to detail. Proactive and able to execute long term projects and programs effectively with minimum supervision. Fluency in English is essential. Preference will be given to multi-lingual. Solid computer skills, including working knowledge of MS Office products.
