Analysis of Love in Donnes The Good

Abstract
John Donne is the founder of the metaphysical poetry during the period of the English Renaissance who is famous for love poems.
From the lovers views of I and You, The Good Morrow praised that the eternal and harmonious love was the whole world
with the clue of discovering true meaning of love. This paper focuses on the awakening of love according to the order of the
three sections, separately analyses the ignorance before love, the consciousness during love and the sublimation after love
this three awakening processes. At the same time, it analyses the view of love, religion and philosophy that implicitly contained
in the poem. At last, this paper analyses the creative writing skills surrounding love, of which the philosophical speculation is
enlightening and partly of practical significance.
