Job description

With a growing need to centralize HR functions and optimize cost and efficiency in support,
Centralized HR support units are becoming very critical in large MNCs. HR Central IMEA is a
similar setup which provides HR Consulting and operational support to geographies panning
across South-East Asia, Middle East & Africa and India. This role would provide Senior HR
consulting support to these geographies. The incumbent would be expected to network with,
engage and resolve issues with key stakeholders across these geographies. This role will also
require travel and the willingness to work on time zones outside of India, to suit the supported
geographies. Position is based in Chennai.
Purpose of the Role:
This role involves engaging with and coaching all the key stakeholders in the above mentioned
geographies, both within HR as well as in the Business and also enabling the business to
understand and implement the Global HR processes. The incumbent would need to provide
generalist consulting on the entire gamut of HR activities. He/she would need to apply
experienced level HR Generalist knowledge to deliver full scope of HR services in line with
business strategy needs/situation
Responsibilities:
I. HR Process Management
1. HR Process alignment and management - implement, drive and monitor all HR processes
to align with Global as well all India people processes
2. Drive and manage execution of Goal setting and review, Performance evaluation,
Personal Development Plans, Compensation planning and review, Engagement Survey
(Listening to you) and action planning workshops
3. Support policy development and revisions
II. HR Subject Matter Expert
1. Acts as HR Subject matter expertise for the Geographies supported HR/larger countries
2. Expected to specialize in certain HR expert areas and support the rest of the team in
developing this capability

III. HR consulting to Managers and Employees
1. Performance and talent management
Coaching on Performance management and compensation planning to managers
Identifying development needs and suitable development interventions for the teams
Engaging with the Key Talent.
1. Advising on global/local policy interpretation for employee life-cycle,
2. Facilitate HR related problem solving along with employees and managers
3. Advises on employee Wellbeing and Organizational health and Safety
4. May act as an regional Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Internal Expert (IE)
5. Handles high-touch consultancy such as dismissals and investigations
6. Works on re-structuring, re-organizations and supports Mergers &Acquisitions projects.
7. Employee Engagement Understand engagement challenges for various teams and
implement suitable engagement initiatives for the teams being supported

Good understanding of business and ability to handle a large, complex organization
Should be willing to travel to different geographies that are supported and should be
flexible in work timings (to be able to support countries in different time zones)
Qualifications
Prior HR generalist experience (5-7 years)
Master's degree and/ or MBA program from a reputed institute in Human Resource
Management
International HR experience as well as Back Office Operations environments will be an
added advantage.
