The DM2436AB is a micro-processor based power meter using 16 bits CPU, it provides digital
measuring, indicating, calibrating and output functions. The DM2436AB replaces several static
converters and measuring devices (V, A, W, VAR, PF, WH, VARH, Hz), and provides special
functions such as Maximum measuring, Minimum measuring and comparison output. It has
RS232 or RS485 output using standard Modbus communication protocol.

Communication

RS-232C
The RS-232C connection allows one single point-to-point communication connection using
standard RS-232C communication cable with a maximum length of 50 feet long (15.2m).

RS-485
RS-485 communication allows multiple devices connect on the same bus. Up to 30 devices can be
connected on one RS-485 bus using a shielded twisted pair cable. The overall length of RS-485
cable cannot exceed 4000 ft (1219m).






Comparison Output
The DM2436AB has two comparison outputs. User can set two input values of voltage. Current or
wattage. When actual input value exceeds pre-set value. Output changes status.
