Job Description

Business Performance and Cost Management

- Preparation of the Business Performance and Cost management report for Infrastructure finance
- Review, control, understand, and manage key cost and balance sheet items in infrastructure finance, including various cost li nes (resource, hardware, data centre, networks, licences,
etc); and also accruals, work in progress, cross-border recharges, prepayments, hardware costs, etc
- Provide information and commentaries on cost trends, variances from budget, changes across months, etc.
- Manage the monthly accounting processes for the area, including an analytical review of the monthly results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
- Ensuring maintenance of a robust control environment
- Establish an appropriate level of support to the Technology infrastructure management team and provide timely MIS which can be used to drive business decisions
o Assist technology teams in achieving accurate forecasting and budgeting, and in taking the correct financial decisions.
o Track progress on various cost reduction opportunities
o Ensure costs are charged out equitably to various beneficiary countries / businesses, escalate outstanding items at periodic intervals and seek resolution
o Address queries and concerns raised by Technology and business finance teams
- Ensuring compliance with group policies on capitalization, Work In Progress Transfers & Accrual
Budgeting & Planning
- Prepare, and assist preparation of, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for infrastructure departments which reflect the banks technology priorities and are present an accurate
picture of future spend.
- Review Technology cost allocation drivers & methodology and ensure that recharges to the businesses and support functions are calculated and communicated on a timely basis
Liaising with other teams Includes working closely with the Finance,Infrastructure Services and Operations, and other Business partners such as Heads of infrastructure department s,
Regional & Country Finance Contacts, Country Finance in hub locations Singapore, Hong Kong, UK & US on key deliverables
