Purpose - To educate Diagnostic Experts & Technicians at Dealers / TASC’s about the diagnostic software
for new Delphi TVS make ECU (SCN 2.3). This is due to the phased introduction of new Delphi TVS make
ECU (SCN 2.3) in place of existing TRW make ECU (DPCN) Cars with 475IDI NA / TCIC BSIII Engines.

Applicability - The new SCN software (Part No – 210323399907) would be applicable on all cars with new
ECU (SCN) – Initially, all Indigo CS Tdi cars from chassis no MAT6071619WD17735 onwards. The existing
DPCN software (210323039957) continues to be valid and needs to used on the cars with old ECU
(DPCN)

Important Note – The New ECU (SCN) diagnostic software (Part No – 210323399907) and the old ECU
(DPCN) diagnostic software (Part No – 210323039957) are different and are not to be used wrongly on different
make of ECU as the functioning, logics, wiring, diagnostic, DTC’s of both ECU’s are different. For more detailed
understanding on the new ECU (SCN) and troubleshooting information, kindly refer to Service Information No.
SI61009DZ of April 2009.

Action to be taken - For the benefit of the existing license holders of the previous ECU (DPCN) diagnostic
software (Part No - 210323039957 - Indica TRW (DPCN) EUROIII - English- -USB-RS232), it has been
decided to give a complimentary FOC license of the New ECU (SCN) diagnostic software (Part No -
210323399907 – SCN Diesel Diagnostic Indica Platform)
All Dealers / TASC’s holding valid license of DPCN ECU diagnostic software (210323039957) should
follow the following guidelines to ensure that the SCN ECU diagnostic software is readily available:

1) Communicate the details as required in the annexure enclosed to Service Office, Pune by E-
mail (Scan copy) to carwarranty@tatamotors.com.
2) Service Office, Pune would verify the request based on the details received.
3) Upon verification of valid license of DPCN ECU diagnostic software, new serial number for the
SCN ECU diagnostic software would be communicated back to the concerned by E-mail.
4) Logon on to ED Support website (https:\\ed.tatamotors.com) using your existing login of ED
Support website.

 5) Download the SCN ECU diagnostic software (Part No – 210323399907) from the website as
per the procedure enclosed along with this information or refer the Documents link in ED
support website Æ howtologin2.0.pdf Æ serial 8-9 Æ page 14-15.
6) Install the software giving the serial number mailed to you. Caution - Kindly ensure correct
details are entered else duplicate INIT code would not be issued.
7) Using the INIT code, release the SCN ECU software for regular usage.

The above steps would ensure that all existing license holders would get the new software on FOC
basis.

Also it should be noted that this is an exceptional release and for any further releases / requirements
thereafter, due to any issues, would be on chargeable basis as per the existing software purchase
policy.

PROCEDURE FOR DOWNLOADING OF SOFTWARE:-

To download software documents and reference documents, follow the procedure as below:

1. Login to the website with UserID and Password.

2. Click on the Products tab from the available tabs.

3. Then under the section Download Software ( ). This will display the details of the product as below:

4. Clicking in the image “Download Software” will display the details of the product as below.

5. Click on the ‘Download’ button to download the software.

6. Now you will be asked to enter the Serial Number of your purchased software.

7. You can download the software only when you have a valid serial number.

8. Click on OK after entering the Serial Number. Save the copy of software on your disk or run it directly for
installation.

9. To download the corresponding documents for the software follow the same procedure as that of
downloading the software.

10. But you need not enter the Serial Number to download the document.
