Lesson 7.3 Predicate Adjectives

Recall: When an adjective is linked to a noun by means of a linking verb (is, are, am, was, were,

etc.), it is called a Predicate Adjective. It follows the same rule of agreement (Gender,
Number, Case). This linking verb may sit between the two words or at the end of the
sentence, which is normal placement for Latin verbs.
However, when a linking verb begins the sentence, it is often translated there s, there are, there
was, etc.
