ACTIVITIES
Check liquid level in sight glass.
Check rectifier wheel fuses with stroboscope (only if fuse
failure monitoring system is lost)
Check sight glass after level detectors for liquid level.
Check gas consumption.
Check H2 housing purity
Check the sample gas volumetric flow rate.
Check flow rate through alkalization.
Check level of alkali tank.







WEEKLY
ACTIVITIES
Check shaft grounding brushes.
Check hydrogen coolers are vented properly.
Briefly flush standby seal oil cooler at full cooling water flow
rate (wet conservation).
Change over seal oil coolers (at regular intervals, only with
wet conservation).
Check seal oil cooler in operation for proper venting.
Check seal oil supply lines and shut off valves for leakages.
Check degree of contamination of seal oil filters.
Check reaction time of not operating PW pumps.
Check contamination of PW main filter.
Check contamination of PW fine filter.
Check PW coolers are vented properly.
Check make-up air filter in exciter enclosure.
Check shaft grounding brushes.
Check hydrogen coolers are vented properly.






Change over seal oil pumps 1 and 2.
Perform functional check of standby seal oil pump.
Change over primary water pumps.
MONTHLY
ACTIVITIES
Check conductivity transducer for correct calibration.
Perform function check of ion exchanger.
Analyse water sample of PW main circuit.
Analyse water sample of PW treated circuit.
Check carbon brushes on wear and damage.

3 MONTHS
ACTIVITIES
Change over seal oil pumps 1 and 2.
Perform functional check of standby seal oil pump.

6 MONTHS
ACTIVITIES
Check Exciter End generator bearing insulation.
Check shaft seal insulation Exciter End.
Check exciter insulation.

ANNUALLY
ACTIVITIES
Measure insulation resistance of rotor winding.
Where possible, check shut off valves in gas supply system
for freedom of movement and leaks.
