English is always presumed as a tough subject for most of the students. To uphold and
strengthen the English proficiency among the students, they should be exposed to an
interesting learning environment so that they will find that it is interesting to learn English.
This effort is really important to motivate the students to love English as well as to use it in
their daily life. Thus, to promote the importance of learning English in an interesting way, the
Spelling ee! competition will be conducted in this school. Through this competition, the
students will have the opportunity to explore and learn English the interesting way.

This programme is organi"ed as an effort so that the students will be #een and interested
towards English. This is a good effort so that the students will be more confident to use
English in their daily lives, conversation and hopefully this programme will benefit them in
the future.

6articipants need to be in the hall $+ minutes before the competition.
This competition is carried out in groups. Each group consists of three pupils from
different classes.
This competition is divided into two rounds.
$irs& roun': each pupil from every group will ta#e turns to spell two words.
Each pupil need to draw the words from a box. Then, the teacher will read out the
words for them to spell.
Each pupil will be given '1 seconds to thin# before spelling out.
+ points will be awarded to each correct spelling.
4owever, if the person is unable to answer, the second chance will be given to his7
her team mate. The correct spelling will be awarded ' points.
8f the team mates still unable to spell correctly, the chance will be opened to the
other group.
.uring the secon' roun', the words will be opened to all group, each word spelled
correctly will be awarded + points.
Ten words will be as#ed by the teacher during this round.
999 The vocabulary used for this competition will be based on the word list in the Standard
.ocuments and the students% textboo#s.
