ties are only usable by demigods or immortal crea-
tures.

erul magic or deiic git, should eer possess an abil-
ity high enough to be listed below.

Anakim are the ospring o allen angels
and mortal women. 1hey are recognizable to oth-
ers who oten reer to anakim as giants since they
are taller than the typical humanoid. Anakim are
the youngest o the humanoid races. It is not eery
day that iends mate human women, so ery ew
anakim exist. Most anakim are the result o an in-
cubus or succubus mating with a human. 1hese
anakim are more properly called cambion.
Otentimes, cambion children show no signs o lie
until they are seen years in age.
Anakim aerage a towering 8 eet in height
or males, eet or emales, and are appropriately
heaier than humans as well. Oten, they are con-
sidered giants. Also, they are likely to lie much
longer, proided they do not meet a premature death.
Because o their iendish heritage, anakim may hae
d10 traits, as randomly determined in Clater 2: Cev
er av Race. Anakim are usually immoral, and oten
unethical, though any disposition is possible. Most
societies do not react well to anakim, so unethical
and immoral tendencies are the deault. Since anakim
are taller than other humanoid mortals, they are typi-
cally treated dierently -- usually with curiosity, scorn,
or ear. Duly, they tend not to get along well with
others. Since they are much larger in size, it is rea-
sonable to expect that the mortal mother dies upon
their birth. Anakim do not hae their own lands,
cities, or towns, but try to lie secretly among oth-
ers.
Anakim may worship any religion, though
oten they are oreign to notions o worship, or
enerate iends. Anakim usually speak the Common
Speech o humans, and i they hae good Language
ability and the luxury o education, most aspire to
learn Deil or Demonic. Anakim oten hae human
names, as their mother names them at birth, or i
she dies immediately, those in her culture will name
the inant.

Basilisks may be the deadliest o serpents.
Also called a cockatrice, the original word ,basileus,
meant little king`. A basilisk has a serpentine body,
the wings o a bird, tail o a dragon or serpent, and
head o a rooster. 1he eathered head is brightly
colored. Although its body is serpentine, a basilisk
moes by rearing coils, not by slithering on its belly.
1he small wings do not allow it to ly, but acilitate
its speed on the ground. Basilisks are hatched rom
spherical eggs and must be sat on or nine years
beore hatching occurs.
Basilisks hae enormous eyes. 1he gaze o
the eyes o a basilisk may be atal, een to itsel. All
who meet the gaze o a basilisk must pass a lealth
check at 1l 95 or die. 1hose in the past who hae
sought to kill a basilisk hae been wise to bring mir-
rors and attempt to kill it with its own gaze.
1he breath o a basilisk brings pestilence to
the regions it inhabits and kills een the birds lying
in the sky aboe. Its breath is an unknown poison
and causes all lie within 10 eet to die unless a lealth
check at 1l 40 is passed. Basilisks are natie to
deserts, so there is little lie to kill.
Basilisks are capable o Spitting lames. 1he
lames are hot enough to scorch the earth and kill
plants, animals, and humanoids alike. 1he lames
cause 3d20 IP or LP o damage.
I desperate, a basilisk may snap at prey or
predators with its beak, doing 2d20 LP.
Basilisks preer solitary existence most o
their roughly 200-year liespans. loweer, they band
into amily units to reproduce once in their lietime.
As a result o copulation, 2d4 eggs emerge. O
these, only ,1d100, will hatch. Basilisks preer to
lair underground. 1hey may Search or ood day or

Balrogs are primeal spirits that assume a

or them is Valarauko. Originally, they were angelic
beings, immortals possessing considerable power.
1hey were spirits o ire that could control and cre-
ate both ire and magic. As such, Balrogs can sense
the presence o magic and its eects. Since they are
immortal, they hae knowledge and magic that sur-
passes the eles, and certainly all mortals. Balrogs
were mistakenly awakened by dwares in the year
1980. Since, they hae been known to tolerate and

1rolls are powerul giants that are enemies
o humans. 1rolls lie in caes, in castles on hill-
tops, beneath bridges, and rob and eat traelers ool-
ish enough to stray into their domain ater dark.
luge, hard-skinned, stone-scaled, and irtually in-
destructible, they seem to only be anquished by
sunlight, which either turns them to stone or makes
them explode. Occasionally, trolls that lie beneath
bridges will exact a toll or passage. Vhen daylight
disappears, they emerge to scour the dark. Long-
armed and powerul, they are coered with earth
and moss. 1heir eyes bulge, their loose mouths gape
and drool, and their swollen noses twitch at the scent
o human blood. 1hey are creatures o the cold,
and the heat o humanity warms their lesh. 1rolls
are black-blooded, cannibalistic, and unintelligent.
1rolls ear light and they do not hae souls. Due to
stupidity, many trolls cannot be taught language,
others learned the barest rudiments o the Black
Speech o Orcs.
Sometimes, trolls will kidnap women, seize
them in their claws, and drag her o to its cae or
home. 1here, she may be orced into slaery as a
cook or made to be its wie. Vith time, she will
begin to look like a troll, deelop superhuman
strength, and her oice will deepen to guttural grunts.
1hereater, she will neer see the sunlight again, and
she will be as greedy, lecherous, loathsome, and
eared as her mate. In their lair, they hoard treasure
taken and amassed rom ictims.
It is not uncommon or trolls to go to war
alongside woles and orcs. In combat, they know
nothing o ear. Many people consider there to be
stone-trolls, cae-trolls, hill-trolls, mountain-trolls,
and snow-trolls.
