2. Half of the population is subsidized yet they think they are victims.
3. They think they are victims yet their representatives run the government.

5. The poor keep getting poorer yet they have things that people in other countries only
dream about.
6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about yet they want America to
be more like those other countries.

Obama knows little about Jonathan Pollard, or any other real Jews for
that matter. For them, the Torah of Israel, the Land anof Israel, and the
Jewish people are holy and demand sacrifice.



As is well known, or should be well known by now, Jonathan Pollard, working more than
30 yeas ago as a U. S. Navy civilian intelligence analyst, became privy to information
which indicated that some state or states in the Arab world had obtained or were
developing weapons capabilities which were or would have been at the level of posing
grave dangers to the citizenry of Israel, if not an existential threat.

This information was denied to Israel by the then U.S government's violation of an
existent American Israeli security agreement. Acting without authorization, i.e., illegally,
Pollard warned Israel of the dangers.

Most notable in these disclosures were the Iraqi chemical weapons and the
accompanying delivery systems, not unlike those chemical weapons of Syria that the
Obama administration stridently warned the world about how dangerous there were, or
are, only a few short months ago. Disclosure or passage of information from Pollard
to Israel became revealed and Jonathan Pollard was arrested and imprisoned, at times -

particularly now - in ways that are cruel and unusual. He has been denigrated by every
U.S. administration since then as criminal if not traitorous.

Some years ago I attended a lecture on the plight of Jonathan Pollard in one of the
communities in Samaria. The activist who gave the lecture, quoted Jonathan Pollard as
he revealed his thoughts as an intelligence analyst at the time he became aware of the
dangers to Israel and at the point he decided to take the action he did. "I would rather
sit in jail the whole rest of my life than sit (shiva) for thousands of Israelis as a result of
my cowardice". That statement , more than anything else, reveals the motivations, the
nature of his activity and information disclosures, and the courage, integrity and the
faith of Jonathan Pollard as a man and as a Jew.

Again, over thirty years later, in a state of health which was described by Jonathan
Pollard himself, by way of his wife, Esther, as "wretched", Jonathan Pollard displays the
same qualities of character strength to foil another plot to endanger Israel and its
people. The media were abuzz about the potential to release Pollard as some kind of
Obama-Kerry Mideast package. In a move conjuring up images of Samson in Philistine
captivity.

Jonathan Pollard, who should have been powerless with both hands tied behind his back
in a Butner, North Carolina prison, seems to have brought down the roof on this current
intrigue, with its architects, Obama and Kerry, significantly bruised in the rubble.

Victims of their own hubris and their own misconceptions, not only is the Obama-Kerry
plan going astray, but Pollard and Israel, in this affair, are appearing to be the opposite
of how the Obama administration perceived them and had hoped them to be portrayed.

Most people, after years of ordeals in prison and the failing health engendered by them,
would jump at the chance to escape by answering a few formalities at a parole board
hearing. However, it was reported that a member of the U.S. parole commission said
that Pollard waived the hearing.

Apparently, Pollard, aware that his release would bring pressure on the Israeli Prime
Minister to approve of a deal that would obligate Israel to release scores of terrorists
and revive the Obama Kerry plan - which is a great danger in itself to Israel - in exchange
for his freedom, wanted none of it.

In fact last summer in a published article, Pollard decried the release of terrorists
by Israel and warned that to do so would, "dishonor its dead", "betray its bereaved" and
"disgrace its citizenry" by the "release of unrepentant murders". He called such a move
an "affront to human decency" for "political expediency". Thus not only is the nobility of
Pollard's character demonstrated by his adherence to Jewish and human values, but
the motivations for the original deed that he has punished for unjustly, have been
reiterated.

Obama has been quoted as saying that "I know more about Jews than any other
previous President." He seems believe this is so. Actually he knows very little about
them. He certainly doesn't know Jonathan Pollard. He thought that by now, with no

second thought, Pollard would jettison everything Jews believe is dear, in return for a
Boeing to Israel, the best Jewish doctors, a five star hotel in Jerusalem and this year's
Passover soup as a free man.

He couldn't be more wrong. He knows little about Jonathan Pollard, or any other real
Jews for that matter. For them, the Torah of Israel, the Land of Israel, and the Jewish
people are holy and demand sacrifice.

While the Obama administration tries to use Jonathan Pollard as a conveniently
available bargaining chip in order to obtain a new Middle Eastern political reality,
conducive to it own self-serving agenda and world view, Pollard's selfless refusal to be
manipulated by the ploy, puts a new focus on the Obama administration's values, or
lack of them, at this late date in this sad saga of the Pollard affair.

He quite correctly is seen as ready to give all for what he believes in. In contrast, Obama
appears to be wheeling and dealing in this "great security liability", as the detractors of
Pollard characterize him. Israel gets Pollard in exchange for release of terrorists. The end
goal of this move is rather transparent. The Obama Administration hopes that by the
releasing of terrorists in such a stunt, world stability and security will be promoted. He is
willing to pander to elements in the Arab Islamic world, that are basically similar in
outlook, if not identical in their view of the West, to those who destroyed the World
Trade Center.

Surrender of a dedicated Israeli agent, or a criminal guilty of serious security infractions,
depending on the view, for release of terrorists, will not be seen by anyone,
as strengthening the security of the U.S., Israel, or anyone else. But it is consistent with
the Obama doctrine of achieving stability through confrontation avoidance and
appeasement, most vividly demonstrated in the Benghazi stand-down fiasco, which
resulted in the murder of the U.S. ambassador there.

To be sure, one should address the allegation that Jonathan Pollard greatly
compromised American security vis--vis the U.S.'s Cold War adversaries. Many people
have said many things about Jonathan Pollard with little or no verification. Much of the
accusing documentation is still legally unavailable for legal defense and public scrutiny.
However there are few indications that Pollard had any need or motivation to endanger
American security. It is quite obvious that he had a great need and motivation to
protect Israel from real and considerable dangers. This is clear from his principles,
words, and deeds.

The thrust of the Obama Administration in the present Mideast negotiations was more
than contrary to the basic security of Israel. Now, again, we see Jonathan Pollard
conducting himself in a way most similar to how he acted more than 30 years ago. Then,
by violating regulations he endangered himself for what he believed in, and now, he is
sacrificing himself for those very same beliefs by parole waiving.

Thus, the Obama Administration has quite unwittingly created a situation where the
sterling character and motivations of Pollard are reaffirmed. At the same time, the
Obama Administration is reaffirmed as made up of manipulative opportunists of

expediency, devoid of of the values to which Jews, Israelis, Americans and decent
people everywhere are dedicated.

recent blast e-mail; thus, it is desirable to recap what had been encompassed. The first graph cited six
hyperlinks that corroborated prior observations regarding the level of political trouble Corbett has;
promoting the prospects of Dems; state-sen-scott-wagner (who endorsed upping user-fees rather than
the gas-tax); those who forcefully challenge public-sector unions; thorough corruption investigation; and
those who challenge how AG-Kane handled the STING CASE. It also cited two hyperlinks lambasting
Phillys mis-/mal- and/or non-feasance, noting the potential for greater involvement of union-funded
Super PACs and cited the view of Cris Carter that correlated his gratitude to Buddy Ryan for having been
released [drugs] with what he suspects may have prompted the Eagles to release DeSean Jackson. Then,
provided were inter alia insights regarding how America is becoming increasingly socialistic vs. Reagan;

Unfortunately, Congressman Fitzpatrick wants to extend federal unemployment
benefits because he doesnt want people punishedfor their inability to find
employment during Obamas historically-prolonged recession (Fitzpatrick calls for
vote on unemployment benefits, April 8).

In the process, he would undermine the traditional role of states and perpetuate
dependence on handouts, absent documentation that the recipient is actually seeking a
job. Indeed, extending benefits to 99 weeks has increased the national unemployment
rate by roughly 0.5%, according to two studies conducted by the Federal Reserve Bank,
and a half-dozen reports have shown that extending either the amount or the duration
of such benefits increases the length of time that workers remain unemployed.

Then ask yourself whether he has any credibility, principles or growth-ability.
When you cant find evidence to the contrary, you must conclude he is crassly
pursuing an agenda that unjustly politicizes each/every issue in government.

However, I disagree that his motives are rooted in a love of communism or an inherently anti-
Israel stance.

He loves statism and perhaps envies Putins ability to wheel/deal accordingly.
That this translates into Israel-bashing has been increasingly well-documented,
culminating in the unjust claim that Israel killed-off Kerrys peace initiative.

Instead, from my admittedly not-fully-informed perspective, I believe he is paralyzed in his
ability to make decisions, a trait which itself is an unfortunate demonstration of a weakness in
his leadership ability. The end result is actions that can be criticized as weak or delayed.

He emerges from faux-paresis when its politically opportune, as has been
amply demonstrated; after he votes present, he attends a $-raiser and/or
plays golf; unless the truthiness *quoting Colbert+ of my hyperlinks is to be
challenged as somehow selective, they must provide sufficient information to
permit a cogent decision to be made. One cannot hide behind ignorance, for
*paraphrasing a euphemism+: Ignorance of the news is no excuse! He is not
approving the Keystone-XL or releasing Pollard because he wants to barter;
thus, his delayed actions reveal imperialism *not purported weakness+.

He also has been unable to broker trust which has led to a complete disconnect with Congress
and, I believe, to the flurry of executive orders. I am not informed enough to say whether he
has overreached in these orders, per se. On the one hand, I can appreciate those who say its
been the only way he can get anything done; however, I can also see that his extensive use of
this tactic has only served to fuel a more divisive environment.

He has destroyed trust throughout the past half-decade, hardly meeting with
the GOP [and rarely with Dems who dare to contemplate stepping out-of-line];

he has most-definitely over-reached [such as with the Illegals], for his executive
actions [as official Orders and as an Administration] have admittedly been
characterized as discretionary. He enforces selectively, evincing favoritism,
eschewing the rule-of-law, lifting the blindfold over administration of justice.
How else would you expect the majority of Americans to react to his edicts?

Unlike you, my political thinking is not linear; it lacks your consistency. Rather, it relies heavily
on the view that the process only works in DC when the rancor is less intense.

You just admitted BHO caused the rancor, so dont blame the GOP for recoiling.

The nastiness perhaps serves conservatives purpose of limiting federal government.

Absurd, incorrect, counter to the intuitive truth; BHO has expanded D.C. and,
sadly, the RINOs have been lock-step complicit [e.g., raising the debt-ceiling].

But, I feel it has contributed to decisions they and you have not liked. Of course, not sure it
would have made a difference given Obamas nature.

The bad decisions are purely ascribable to BHO, and BHOs presumed nature
is irrelevant when the agreed-upon outcome is poor-performance; remember
the 08 rhetoric about unifying the nationand how he has drawn it asunder.

But, as a point of fact, we do not know one can only make our own, equally biased judgments
here. I am not only casting criticism at the Rs, although I feel there is plenty there to be had (for
example, the countless symbolic votes on Obamacare).

That the GOP keeps voting to rescind this intrusion is understandable, although
it only would have truly mattered if they had remained firm against funding it,
this past October. I make no biased judgments when concluding BHO is
methodically destroying American Exceptionalism, behavior he presaged when
he didnt rise for the Pledge of Allegiance during the campaign and conduct he
has since-then reinforced orally when equating American Exceptionalism with
the nationalism evinced by other countries [including Iran?].

The Ds also have not shown themselves particularly willing to talk across the aisle. One could
argue perhaps that such behavior derive in part from Obamas challenges with leadership.

They mirror him, sometimes overstate him so that he can appear moderate.

Bottom line, though, I am not and wont be ready to leave my party any time soon.

J Street Student Leaders to Repair Brandeis-Al Quds Relationship
UPDATED: Students for Al Quds get $10,000 grant after heckling former IDF spokesman

Two student leaders of J Street at Brandeis University who recently came under fire for
heckling an Israeli soldier have been selected to help repair the schools relationship
with the Palestinian Al Quds University, which has hosted several anti-Israel terror rallies
on its campus.
Brandeis was forced to sever its long-term partnership with Al Quds after it hosted a
military rally last year that featured masked men performing the traditional Nazi salute.
A second Hamas rally was held in late March.
Two leaders of J Streets campus group, J Street U, were recently given an independent
grant to travel to Al Quds and spearhead a student dialogue initiative aimed
at repairing relations between the two universities.
The studentsEli Philip and Catriona Stewartserve as the copresidents of Brandeiss J
Street U group. They most recently drew headlines for heckling a former IDF soldier who
was speaking on campus.
The Al Quds dialogue initiative comes at a critical time for Brandeis, which is facing a
fierce backlash for rescinding an honorary degree from the Islamic human rights activist
Ayaan Hirsi Ali.
The J Street leaders were awarded the $10,000 as part of the Davis Projects for Peace
program, which encourages students to design grassroots projects for peace.
Philip and Stewart wrote in their grant proposal that they are seeking to create a
framework for long-term student dialogue between Brandeis University and Al Quds
University.
The duo hopes to gain insight into their *Al Quds students+ daily lives through a
structured and intentional five-day trip in Jerusalem and the West Bank and post-trip
weekly discussion meetings, according to the proposal.
Philip and Stewart wrote in their proposal that the December rally at Al Quds appeared
to many at Brandeis to be an anti-Semitic rally.
Others, including Middle East expert Tom Gross, who first reported on the rally, say that
it most definitely was.
Al Quds students associated with Islamic Jihads campus faction donning black military
gear and mock automatic weapons. They then marched across the schools campus
flashing the traditional Nazi salute.

It bothers me very much that the school I am attending has a partnership with a school
that inherently promotes death to Jews, Brandeis student Eve Herman told
the Washington Free Beacon at the time.
J Street leaders Philip and Stewart say that the Nazi rally inspired them to pursue the
new partnership, which will allow a delegation of Brandeis students to spend a week at
Al Quds.
We realized that this was the kind of moment for which the *Brandeis+ partnership
existed, a moment that could have resulted in learning and growth for both
institutions, they wrote in their grant proposal.
The students claim that Brandeiss decision to cut ties with Al Quds lacked appreciation
for [former Al Quds University head Sari+ Nusseibehs desire to uphold the values of free
speech and respect, as well as for the realities of life in the West Bank.
J Street U sparked a row on Brandeis campus late last year, when Philip and others
were reported to have been disruptive and rude during a speech by former IDF
spokesman Barak Raz.
Philip and his *J Street U+ colleagues were so disruptive during Razs talk that there
were calls for him to resign his student leadership position for having embarrassed the
Brandeis community, the Jewish Press reported at the time.
Raz later responded to the incident by stating that Philip walked in *to the event+, over
an hour late, and aside from the disruptive chatter, missed the points that were made.
The behavior you displayed was quite sub-par, Raz wrote, adding that should you
desire to continue this conversation, its probably best done in a way that reflects a little
more integrity. Im surprised that while you came to learn and listen, you refused to do
that.
Philip, Stewart, and a Brandeis University spokesman did not respond to a request for
comment on the grant.
However, Ellen de Graffenreid, a senior vice president for communications, toldthe
schools newspaper that the initiative is consistent with Brandeis Universitys principles
of academic freedom and open dialogue on challenging issues.
UPDATE 4:25 P.M.: Brandeis University emailed the Free Beacon following the
publication of this article to distance itself from the Davis Projects and the J Street U
students project.
The Davis Projects for Peace is an outside foundation that is not affiliated with Brandeis
University. Brandeis University does not play a role in selection of students who are the
recipients of these funds, senior vice president for communications Ellen de
Graffenreid wrote to the Free Beacon in an email.
The Davis Projects for Peace program is advertised and hosted on Brandeiss College of

social problems exacerbated by gun violence I do not care what the presumed source
of these guns are that is not at all my point)

In response, it was noted that the TEA *Taxed Enough Already+ Party Movement is a heterogeneous
entity and, thus, it is impossible for it to comply with these three tenets; with that in mind, however,
certain accommodations could be envisioned, inasmuch as the leaders thereof [mostly] eschew linking
the purely constitutional/fiscal focus with the social-issues listed in #1 and #2. Furthermore, most Rs
accept Roe vs. Wade [along with all SCOTUS-justices] and sense the acceptance of gay-marriage [noting
last Junes double-decision by the SCOTUS]. That the TPM is fixated on fiscal-responsibility wedded to
the Constitution was also manifest when I spoke with Bob Asher and Pam Levy [this past December]

Second, it was suggested that both Obama and the TPM have caused the rancor and that it supports
Guzzardi.

In response, it was noted that no entity within the TPM has endorsed Guzzardi [much to my dismay,
illustrating that it is not true that the TPM has caused turmoil in Pa within this context. It should be
noted that its agitation successfully led to the GOP take-over of the House [necessitating the type of
political rancor that proves effectivefree speech+; thus, BHOs admitted divisiveness set the tone
*let alone how he adopted ObamaDontCare without any GOP support+and his presidency *due to
whatever behaviors and psychology+ has created D.C.s cacophony *triggering understandable reactions,
which continue to this day after his again having claimed racism, racism last week in NYC+. Therefore,
note that the out-party is necessarily going to make noise regarding its protestations [remember the
five-freedoms in the 1

Amendment include speech/religion/press/assembly/petitioning-government];
this should serve to undermine/clarify concern regarding the ongoing bipartisan impact of efforts to

been reprehensible, even those actions that were seemingly innocuous or that appeared to be c/w the
GOPs postures *such as relying on the use of dronesbecause they are no substitute for boots-on-the-
ground]; thus, my only major critique of your observation is to express the desire for public policy to be
predicated primarily on data rather than emotionand to be documented accordingly.

Fourth, regarding efforts to create a holiday [Yom Knisa] based on the initial creation of a Jewish State

Joe the Plumber, Circa 2017:

Only weeks after leaving office, Barack Obama discovers a leak under his sink, so he calls
Joe the Plumber to come out and fix it. Joe drives to Obama's new house, which is
located in a very exclusive gated community where all the residents make more than
$250,000 per year. Joe arrives and takes his tools into the house. Joe is led to the guest
bathroom that contains the leaky pipe under the sink. Joe assesses the problem and
tells Obama that it's an easy repair that will take less than 10 minutes. Obama asks Joe

how much it will cost. Joe checks his rate chart and says, "$9,500." "What?! $9,500?"
Obama asks, stunned, "But you said it's an easy repair!

Joe says, "Yes, but what I do is charge those who make $250,000 per year a much higher
amount so I can fix the plumbing of poorer people for free," explains Joe. "This has
always been my philosophy. As a matter of fact, I lobbied the Democrat Congress, who
passed this philosophy into law. Now all plumbers must do business this way. It's
known as 'Affordable Plumbing Act of 2014.' Im Surprised you haven't heard of it."

In spite of that, Obama tells Joe there's no way he's paying that much for a small
plumbing repair, so Joe leaves. Obama spends the next hour flipping through the phone
book calling for another plumber, but he finds that all other plumbing businesses in the
area have gone out of business. Not wanting to pay Joe's price, Obama does nothing
and the leak goes unrepaired for several more days. A week later the leak is so bad that
Obama has had to put a bucket under the sink. Michelle is not happy as she has guests
arriving the next morning. The bucket fills up quickly and has to be emptied every hour
and there's a risk that the room will flood, so Obama calls Joe and pleads with him to
return.

Joe goes back to Obama's house, looks at the leaky pipe, checks his new rate chart and
says, Let's see, this will now cost you $21,000." Obama quickly fires back, "What! A
few days ago you told me it would cost $9,500!" Joe explains, "Well, because of the
'Affordable Plumbing Act,' a lot of wealthier people are learning how to maintain and
take care of their own plumbing, so there are fewer payers into the plumbing
exchanges. As a result, the price I have to charge wealthy people like you keeps rising.
Not only that, but for some reason the demand for plumbing work by those who get it
for free has skyrocketed! There's a long waiting list of those who need repairs but the
amount we get doesn't cover our costs. This unfortunately has put a lot of my fellow
plumbers out of business, they're not being replaced, and nobody is going into the
plumbing business because they know they can't make any money at it. I'm hurting too,
all thanks to greedy rich people like you who won't pay their fair share."

Obama says, "Joe! This is really bad. If all the rich people learn how to fix and maintain
their own plumbing and you can't charge the poorer people, you'll be broke! What will
you do then?"

Joe replies, "I may have to run for public office!"

Perhaps if Joe wasnt charging $75.00 for the pipe dope that cost his $.50, then he and
his nationwide network of plumbers wouldnt have got us in this mess in the first place. I
wonder, is Joe board certified in lower sink plumbing repair? If he is just a general
practitioner journeyman, then he has no business repairing a pipe under the sink. He
should, in that case, charge Obama $1,000.00 for his consult, and then refer him to the
board certified specialist, who will have to look at the pipe 4-5 times, at about $5,000.00
a pop, before he decides whether to fully repair it or just do some preventative patch
work. The specialist only repairs, the pipe, so we are also going to need someone who is
board certified in greasing the pipe to come in and work on it first so that we can get it

loose. Thats probably about $10,000.00 (even though he will likely have his greasing
apprentice do all the work while he is texting on his cell phone).

After all that, $9,500.00 off the bat doesnt sound so bad. I mean if we are going to

need to have 100 or more rental cars or parking spaces, and 25 or more employees. Talk about an
incentive to not expand beyond 24 or 29 employees!] In any case, there's going to be a similar push in
Seattle to raise the minimum wage to $15; let's see if Seattle turns into an economic wasteland, or if the
city's businesses and their customers can absorb a mandated hike in wages.

Please, do not hold hearings on this proposed rulemaking, but
expeditiously move to a final rule, or as I would prefer, withdraw these
proposed rules in their entirety.

I've been advising leaders of social welfare groups to ignore these
proposed rules. They clearly will not withstand judicial scrutiny and yet
the IRS has promulgated them anyway. When I think of what could
possibly motivate the IRS to promulgate these rules I shudder because
their real consequence has been to intimidate individuals from
exercising their right to free speech.

On November 26, 2013, I read the U.S. Treasury's announcement of this
rulemaking, Today's proposed guidance would reduce the need to
conduct fact-intensive inquiries by replacing this test with more
definitive rules. My jaw hit the floor, Could they be more arrogant? I
thought. The IRS could as well have said, It's too hard to administer our
rules for groups expressing their 1

Amendment rights, so we're going
to more narrowly define your rights. Lest you think I'm overreacting, I
am not accustomed to hyperbole. So read my next sentence carefully.
There is no way on Earth that this explanation satisfies the strict
scrutiny that the Supreme Court requires to abridge free speech.

Justice Kennedy, writing the majority opinion of the U.S. Supreme
Court's decision in the Citizens United case, reminds us of the chilling
effect to our freedom of speech and association that regulatory
encumbrances can have on speakers unless individuals can feel
comfortable that they are clearly not violating the law. Yet, the
November 26, 2013, announcement of this rulemaking states over and
over and over how carefully these rules will be slow-walkedleaving
social welfare groups in limbo and wondering how their activities today
will be judged tomorrow by the IRS.

Jay Sekulow of the American Center for Law and Justice does a good job
detailing in his response (IRS-2013-0038-61506) the Constitutional
reasons why these rules won't pass muster and I won't repeat them.
You need not take his conclusion alone that anonymity is protected
speech. Even in 2007, well before Citizens United was decided, an
assessment of speaker's anonymous speech rights was conducted by
the Congressional Research Service in Grassroots Lobbying:
Constitutionality of Disclosure Requirements. Regarding indirect
(grassroots) lobbying, the germane section of the Summary reads as
follows:

in these cases, it would appear that a federal statute
that requires only disclosure and reporting, and does not
prohibit any activity, and that reaches only those who
are compensated to engage in a certain amount of the
covered activity, would appear to fit within those types
of provisions that have been upheld in judicial decisions
when the statute is drafted in such a manner so as not
to include groups, organizations, and other citizens who

do no more than advocate, analyze, and discuss public
policy issues and legislation.

Furthermore, the same CRS report goes on to specifically cite the
Supreme Court's protection of anonymity in political speech as well:

There has additionally been recognized a constitutional
protection for, as well as a longstanding tradition in our
country of, anonymous political speech and
pamphleteering. In McIntyre v. Ohio Elections
Commission, the Supreme Court overturned a State
statute requiring that the author of a pamphlet or
political document place his or her name and home
address on the document when the material was
distributed in relation to an upcoming
election/referendum on taxes. The Court found that the
purpose of the identification law in Ohio was to prevent
fraud and libel in campaign literature, and to provide
information to the voter, but that requiring the author
to put his or her name and address on the literature was
inherently chilling, did not provide for most voters
generally useful information, and did not sufficiently
promote the governmental interests asserted as its
justification.

Individuals have the right to speak anonymously without fear of reprisal
and the Federal government subsequently never passed a disclosure
law for indirect lobbying. However, Mr. Sekulow rightly points out that if
these rules are adopted, there is no other explanation for them than to
classify many 501(c)(4) groups as 527s that must disclose their donors.

But, these rules have been so carelessly constructed that I don't think
that is their motivation, and if adopted, I think the authors know they
will have a relatively short life in operation before the courts intervene.
To illustrate, assume a group's singular purpose is to speak out on public
policy only when people are paying the most attention: the last 10 days
of an election. Under these rules, the IRS no longer has a place for an
organization that spends 90 percent of it's time and treasure on indirect
lobbying of statewide issues and 10 percent on express advocacy in
state elections. Ponder that for a moment and understand that it is
another reason why these proposed rules are irreparably flawed.

To use a simpler example, consider that I and a friend can create a club
that only asks the public to contact their state representative to urge
their vote against a bill being voted on 10 days prior to an election. My
friend and I can pool our resources and engage in the indirect lobbying
above anonymously. We can also incorporate for one of the many great
reasons (going back to the founding of the U.S.) for establishing a

corporation, including the ability to sign contracts for the group,
personal liability concerns, et cetera. Now, today, we can incorporate a
501(c)(4) social welfare organization and conduct the speech just as
anonymously as if we had not incorporated. However, under the new
rules, if we wanted to remain anonymous, as is our right, we would
either have to forgo incorporation or elect to pay taxes on the speech.
This is tantamount to a poll-tax on speech and raises a clear Equal
Protection challenge.

So, if the rules are so obviously flawed, why were they promulgated?
Listening to IRS whistleblowers like William Henck of the IRS Office of
the General Counsel, we should expect that a culture of corruption,
which protected the cadre, to operate not in a way that is legal and
right, but one that is evil and self-serving.

Lois Lerner famously lamented the Citizens United ruling saying:

The Supreme Court...overturning a hundred year old precedent
that said basically corporations could give directly to political
campaigns. And everyone is up in arms because they don't LIKE
it! Federal Election Commission can't do anything about it. They
want the IRS to fix the problem...So, everybody is screaming at
us right now, 'Fix it now, before the election, can't you see how
much these people are spending!?'"

We know now that the IRS soon thereafter started drafting these
regulations "off book" to solve "the problem."

One could surmise that if the IRS brass planned to shut its enemies up
by creating uncertainty just long enough during an important election
cycle, they have executed the plan brilliantly. I've seen this tactic before.

Some of the groups I've spoken with will have the courage to operate
with respect to the law as it stands. But, most will self censor and wait
for the smoke to clear. It's hard to blame themthe teeth and
reputation of the IRS precedes it. And that's why these proposed rules
need to be withdrawn. Holding hearings on something this egregiously
discriminatory is not good enough. Hearings will simply prolong the fog
of how groups will be judged once a decision has been made. And that
is probably the worst that could happen. At least if a final rule is issued,
the courts can get busy rebuking the authors of these ill-advised rules.

Don't let it get that far. Put an end to the corrupt culture at the IRS. Do
the right thing and withdraw these proposed regulations. They are
irreparably flawed.

Efforts are afoot to pass a bill that would kill-pennsylvania-prevailing-wage payments; in a related area,
on 2/25/2014, at a Warminster meeting of the Pennsylvania Chapter of Americans for Prosperity, union
members tried to shout down and to intimidate speakers and guests. Activists were meeting to discuss
legislation that would remove the Pennsylvania government as a middleman when it comes to collecting
union dues and moneys used for political action. AFP-PA State Director Jennifer Stefano released the
following statement:

Were not going to be intimidated by this kind of behavior weve seen it before in
Michigan, Wisconsin and right here in Pennsylvania. Although our meeting was private,
we believe in freedom at AFP and we let the union members have their say. Sadly and
typically, they refused to leave it at that.

Our activists are tired of it, and so is the public. The fact of the matter is, unions are the
only ones who get the governments help to collect their dues. AFP doesnt get that
help, the Sierra Club doesnt, the NRA doesnt nobody does.

Until the General Assembly puts an end to the government collection of union dues
and political action money, the working families and taxpayers of this Commonwealth
are losing out. AFP has been at the tip of the spear when it comes to getting this issue

Vereb also takes-issue with Guzzardis ongoing characterization of his voting as reflecting RINO-
tendencies, as manifest on the liberty blog *mike-vereb-the-house-never-loses-dick-yeungling-and-
wendell-young-iv+. It would seem this broadside is rather weak *Mike Verebs Union UFCWU
Contributions AND Yeungling Brewery; Mike Vereb collects campaign contributions from both sides of
the liquor privatization issue. This is political genius. I do feel bad for Mr. Yeungling who seems to have
been duped by a smooth talker.+ and is not tethered to any particular vote or even any voting-pattern.

I hope Isaac would agree with my characterization of the postures
adopted by Guzzardi as "reductio ad absurdum"; regardless, it is clear
that his putative candidacy provokes ranting/raving from at least one
vocal-Dem. As noted elsewhere, it is indeed desirable for his viewpoints
to be fleshed-out via a series of debates with Corbett for, in my view, he
would simply reduce government-size to its Constitutional essentials.

Guzzardis Electoral Rationale remains unrefuted: Compare Republican Tom Corbett's
approval numbers with Obama's; Corbett's numbers did not decline by 11 points over
the year. Obama wrapped up 2013 with an average 41% job approval rating in
December, unchanged from November. His monthly job approval dropped almost
continuously throughout 2013, falling 11 percentage points since January.

Regarding internal-GOP concerns, Vereb favors promptly enlarging the MCRCs tent by recruitment of
a Log-Cabin-like entity to attract the LGBTQ-community [without fanfare, without antagonizing
others+; Im not of that behavioral-persuasion, but Im going to try to jump-start this effort. Overall, after
we have been re-elected as co-committee-people [entering our third decade!], this will be
implemented with Ms. Joanne Ayer; the key-concept [creation of an ongoing database] is long-overdue.

Regarding AG-Kane, it seems the scope of aborted sting went beyond PA lawmakers
taking cash gifts. Also, a national-piece [Pennsylvania AG caught lying about Dem
corruption case she wouldn't prosecute+ concludes: Kane is looking like Eric Holder in
her assertion of the right to veto her legal requirement to enforce the laws she has
sworn to uphold. Dick Morris, on Radio Free Philly yesterday *@ 5:30 p.m. 1210-a.m.]
found that AG-Kane was contradicted by primary sources when she claimed that three
prior AGs had decided this corruption case was meritless.

With respect to fiscal issues, I am willing to pay taxes to fund programs of importance
to me. The challenge with reducing the deficit is how to do it in such a way that it
doesn't decimate discretionary spending - something I suspect you would be happy to
cut. I am not.

Then deal with the fact that 86 Million Workers Sustain 148 Million
Benefit Takers, as explored in yesterdays compilation-blast e-mail.

Cutting the size of government is inconsistent with my view that we need safety nets
and that there is indeed a role for the federal government beyond defense. And, as I
have expressed, I am not opposed as you are to federal policies - I don't believe that
everything should be decided locally.

Noting how poverty is perceived by Guzzardi should allay worriment:
So many complain about so much in the USA when we have so little to
complain about. We have inherited, not by merit but by birth, a right to
live in an Exceptional America. It is good to remind ourselves how good
we have it. Others live like these stories Jonathan Spyer brings us from
Lebanon and Syria. From time to time, it is well to remember what we
have and not obsess about what we do not.

No idea what promoting civic responsibility is suggesting - feels like there is a hidden
agenda that I am missing. Perhaps, I am just a liberal not trusting.

Youre not the only one who isnt trusting but, then again, lets
examine the justification for such beliefs; whereas Ive documented the
deviations that prompt most Americans to think BHO is a serial-liar [per
fresh polls], we see Former TIME mag editor [Rick Stengel] sworn-in at
State Department in the attendance of key-libs who overtly suppress

It is refreshing not to see a social agenda here, per se. However, I would like a better
sense of where those who consider themselves to be part of the TEA party fall on key
social issues. In other words, what is the overlap between social conservatism and fiscal
conservatism opposed to federal interventions and spending?

controversy regarding funding [because of the federal ban on Abortion
funding via the Hyde Amendment], the key-debate waged internally is
focused on Foreign Policy [particularly after the SCOTUS decision on

FORESTS, suggesting that any further taxation [which I believe Guzzardi would roll-back
while Corbett endorsed the overturned statewide-legislation+ could kill the goose that
laid the golden egg.

Regarding the Budget, which Corbett introduced and Guzzardi views as bloated, In each
of the past six years, state spending has exceeded revenue. Recent budgets were
balanced using temporary federal stimulus dollars and one-time revenue sources,
creating a structural deficit that has not yet been resolved.

Regarding the Pension-Bomb, while Corbett has failed to lead and Guzzardi has critiqued
his apparent obeisance to unions, Republican Governor Mary Fallin signed a bill into law
Monday banning minimum wage and employee benefit increases in Oklahoma cities.
{Rep. Evankovich learned it is illegal to opt out of the pension and stop accruing
benefits.}

This weeks legislative update from Heritage Action *c/o Mike Henry, Regional

score-card because some pro-establishment groups release scorecards that are
intentionally misleading and create a false narrative; we cannot pick-and-choose votes
just to cover for politicians that are not voting for conservative values. He addressed:

Export-Import Bank Reauthorization - The Export-Import Bank (Ex-Im) is
up for reauthorization at the end of September, and a bipartisan
coalition is already lobbying for its renewal. In order to incentivize
foreign-based companies to import American goods, Ex-Im offers loans
at sub-market rates. This practice encourages cronyism, all the while
crowding out private sector facilitation of trade. In 2012, legislation to
reauthorize and expand Ex-Ims lending authority by 40 percent, from
$100 billion to $140 billion, passed by a vote of 330 to 93 in the
House and 78 to 20 in the Senate. If Ex-Im is not reauthorized and
expanded later this year, it will be unable to make additional loans or
further distort the market.

Minimum Wage - Senate Democrats are expected to introduce a new
bill (S. 2223) after the recess is over which would raise the hourly
minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 by 2016. The proposal is unlikely
to pass a motion-to-proceed vote. The Congressional Budget Office
estimates that if enacted, this increase could result in the loss of as
many as 500,000 jobs, making it the latest in a long line of liberal
assaults on the economy.

Expanded Unemployment Insurance - After the recess, the House may
take up an extension of emergency unemployment compensation in
some form. The Senate-passed bill (H.R. 3979) would cover retroactive
benefits back to December, and would expire for all beneficiaries in late
May, at a cost of $9.7 billion. Some Republicans are pushing members

to tie the extension to other legislative agenda items. The UI
program hurts employment, creates a disincentive to work, and adds to
an already substantial taxpayer burden. Sentinels should petition their
Representatives to oppose this extension as soon as it emerges in the
House in any form.

He noted that Area GOP moderates [Reps. Mike Fitzpatrick, Frank Lobiondo, Jon
Runyan, Chris Smith, and Michael Grimm are teaming-up with the Dems to pressure
House leadership and are openly advocating for liberal legislation]; they are behind the
UI program and could support the Ex-Im funding. ,A friend critiqued a standard
'canned' response from Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick *I believe in tax reform that lowers
individual rates, closes the loopholes, eliminates extraneous deductions, and makes sure
everyone pays their fair share. Simply put, I support a fairer and flatter tax structure.+,
claiming this Shows no one even reads the e-mails, as this does not remotely address
the issues I raised.....or worse yet, he doesn't know how that got sneaked into the Farm
bill, or chooses not to disclose.-

narrow role in national policy, particularly in setting parameters if the country is going
to rely on the states for implementation. I accept we do have some less than optimal

Guzzardi can well say we are a privileged country compared to others; we indeed are
I have seen the extreme poverty in other countries. That does not, however, suggest we
do not have a problem with poverty relative to our own standards of living. The roots of
that poverty are of course complex and the federal government (or even the state)
cannot solve all problems; but, it can facilitate or require states to address certain
issues.

the concept of Federalism.

There is no reason in a country as wealthy as ours for people to be hungry, for
example. Now, can rules for access to safety net programs be tightened? I am sure
there are instances where that would be the case. But, again, it is the philosophy of not
seeing any role for the federal government and a desire to severely restrict funding that
I find challenging.

This is especially the case because its not only federal spending you find objectionable
but it appears you also dislike state-based spending. These problems will not magically
disappear if the money goes away.

State-level spending must be budgeted; these problem have not magically disappeared
despite expenditures of trillions during the past half-century [as the money has NOT
gone away+.

I certainly do allow individuals to hold their own personal views on abortion you are a
case in point. However, when a politician makes his views public on such matters, they
have entered the political sphere. It is true that I do not know Cruz views on Roe v.
Wade; however, I am not as confident as you that his position is as nuanced as yours.

He is unabashedly pro-life, we know, but he has yet to explain how he would implement
this viewpoint; in any case, note that U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, released the following

anniversary of Roe v. Wade:

Today, thousands of people march to the Supreme Court with heavy
hearts. It is a solemn ritual, one that reminds us of the tragic loss of over
56 million unborn lives.

culture of life, where every human life is protected, cherished, and

Further, as indicated above, my concerns about the role of government are indeed
philosophical something I know you find both troubling and tepid. I do not have the
inclination as you do to be as fluent in issues as perhaps I should. But, despite your
eager efforts of persuasion, I have not been convinced otherwise on a broad enough
level to be swayed generally. Perhaps, if you werent so opposed to state taxation as a
means of raising revenue to support programs, I would be more open-minded. It is
indeed the double whammy, so to speak, that makes it even tougher to buy in.

No problem with your philosophical, although your reaction to the TPMs principles was
indeed tepid and your adherence to modern liberalism is indeed troubling. Yet,
having provided you documentation regarding the issues, one would hope that you
would connect-the-dots with sufficient clarity to appreciate the dangerous misconduct
of the POTUS. Start with Foreign Policy *and especially Israel+and then recognize his
deceit/corruption *ObamaDontCare and IRS/Benghazi/NSA+and put-aside both the
issues of domestic-spending and social-concerns; can you not see hes anti-Israel and
pro-Muslim [Brotherhood], with attendant consequences, and can you not see how
dishonest/non-transparent he has been across-the-board?
