Title of the Activity: Letter Writing Session

Venue: Brgy. 824 Daycare Center, Canonigo St. Paco, Manila

HIGHLIGHTS:

 The letter writing session activity was participated with 30 invited CCF children
and mothers from Barangay 824. The activity has started at around 12: 45 in the
afternoon at daycare center of the Barangay.
 Before proceeding to the proper activity, the secretary has checked first the
attendance of the participants. The CCF children who attended were from
elementary, high-school, and college level. Some also of the participants are
accompanied by their mother.
 The Parent Association President under the name of Ester Pastolero has given first
the opening prayer and it was followed with an introduction by herself. After her
inspirational introduction, she has called the attention of the Social Worker to
give some message regarding the activity.
 The Social Worker has said that the activity was conducted to help minimize the
problems regarding the backlog on Sponsor Relation correspondences. This
activity also aims to give some ideas on the children how to make designs
regarding the letters that they are going to give to their sponsor.
 He also added that doing this kind of activity will also help the children to have a
good relationship with the other children and as well as with the parents.
 After the short talk of the Social Worker, he followed about the designs and the
contents of the letters that they should be done. Regarding the designs of the
letters, he has said that he brought some colors and bond paper for them to make
some drawings aside from that content of the letters.
 He then followed about the content of the letter that the child should make a story
regarding his experiences in the school, in the community, on his/her social life.
The child should also put about his development regarding his physical, mental,
psychological, and spiritual.
 Thereafter, the PA president have announced that the activity will be about to
start. The participants were asked to get some paper and colors to make their own
designs regarding the letters that they want to make for their sponsor.
 The children were really enjoying in making their own letters. Many children
have the skills and talents in drawing and some also make a poem aside from
letters. It was also notice that some of the children have some difficulties in
making their own designs because they were not skilled in drawing.
 However, some parent who attended the activity has assisted the child who has
difficulty in making their own designs.
  After a couple of an hour, the children were already finished their work. The
participants have shared their own designs to all the participants. They are very
proud when they finished their work.
 After their work, they proceed to their snack and the PA President has extend her
sincere thankful to all the participants who attended the said activity.
 The activity was finished at around 1:35 pm.
