HRMS Functional Lead
Contracted through Neos to the Workforce Commission to lead a team of 6 in the upgrade of PeopleSoft
8.8 Human Resource Management System (HRMS) to PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM)
9.1. Served as primary liaison between end users and technical staff during the upgrade and worked with
the module team and other affected parties to determine and document required internal interfaces and
conversion requirements. Facilitated module team meetings and transfer of knowledge from consultants to
client staff. Developed, maintained, and monitored the Project Work Plan for specified functional areas.
Following completion of the original assignment, have been retained by the Commission under a contract
extension for additional projects.
Led the successful conversion, which required a total change of architecture and switch to Oracle,
which had acquired PeopleSoft, to completion on time and under budget.
Working with Oracle on accessibility issues involving screen readers, successfully setting the stage for
full resolution of issues at the next Oracle release.
Led the successful development of the internal Management Staff Ratio Report.

Created and built to revenues of almost $1M annually a company providing IT project consulting services
and IT staff recruiting to institutional and commercial clients. Managed IT development engagements as

Ascension Health, 20082013. Developed a continuing relationship with this nonprofit, Catholic
affiliated healthcare provider with more than 500 locations, including more than 70 hospitals, in 20
states and the District of Columbia. Recruited contractors and full-time IT employees and managed
engagements between clients and vendor organizations.
West End Lighting, 20092012. As Co-Owner and Chief Operating Officer, built this reseller of LED
light bulbs to institutional sales of more than $55K annually.
Texas Department of Health & Human Services, 20112012. HRMS Functional Lead during an
upgrade from PeopleSoft 8.3 HRMS to PeopleSoft HCM 9.1.
Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, 20102011. HRMS Functional Analyst during an upgrade
from PeopleSoft 8.8 to PeopleSoft HCM 9.1.
Office of the Texas Attorney General, 20082009. Led a team in upgrading PeopleSoft 8.8 HRMS to
PeopleSoft 9.08 HRMS.
State Of Tennessee, 2008. A five-month assignment to HRMS / Financials Trainer through Neos to
train state employees on PeopleSoft 8.9 HRMS.
Seton Family of Hospitals, 20072008. HRMS Functional Lead during an implementation of
PeopleSoft 8.8 HRMS ePay and creation of a custom expense-reporting application inside PeopleSoft.
Also Used Adobe Captivate to create customized interactive training for 10,000 employees for Vie
Paycheck, W4, W2, Direct Deposit, and Expense Reporting.
Texas Workforce Commission, 20042006. HRMS Functional Lead during an upgrade from
PeopleSoft 7.5 HRMS to PeopleSoft 8.8 HRMS. Created the ability for the system to support multiple
companies in a single database.
Texas Department of Health & Human Services, 2004. HRMS Functional Lead during a
consolidation of 12 companies to five companies in PeopleSoft 8.3 HRMS.
Seton Family of Hospitals, 20032004. HR Self-Service Functional Lead in implementing PeopleSoft
8.3 eProfile Managers Desktop and eCompensation Managers Desktop.
McLane Company, 2003. Senior Business Analyst and primary team member during implementation
of PeopleSoft 8.3 Benefits Administration and Payroll.

Began career as a staff accountant with a manufacturing firm in Houston, Texas, subsequently becoming
HR Manager for the Clayton Foundation for Research. In 1994 began consulting assignments as Business
Analyst and HRMS Functional Lead working first with McCormick and Dodge and then moving to
PeopleSoft implementations and upgrades in 1999 with such organizations as Tenet Healthcare, Monsanto,
and multiple State of Texas agencies.
